my baby loves it!it really gets his attention evertime we turn it on.he watches the moving fish until he falls asleep.
It is one of the best things I got for my baby. I did some research before buying and decided on baby einstein - great barrier reef soother. My daughter loves it. Great relaxing music, she likes to watch fishes. Now she learnt to turn it off and on by herself by pushing button with her feet. I read a lot about batteries - it is not that bad. We played it a lot and I mean every day few (2-3) times - they lasted about 2.5 months. Could be worse. Being mom of three with lots of experience I am happy with this soother. Bottom line - great music, good price - kids love it - I would recommend it to anyone. Just buy and enjoy.
Very good product, durable, not too bright, and plays really lovely music. My only disappointment was that I bought this product hoping that it would help my 9 month old learn to fall asleep on his own in his bed. While it fascinates him and captures his attention, he hasn't learned to fall asleep to it yet, which isn't any fault of the product itself. I expected this to work like a charm based on the other reviews for this product, but my son was more stimulated by it rather than made drowsy by it. However, it's a great toy and he loves to stare at the moving pictures. I don't regret the purchase.
My daughter loved this from 2 weeks old until today (she is almost 2). It puts her to sleep every night without a fuss. She wakes up in the morning presses the bottom and chills out for another hour before waking me up. It has been a lifesaver!! Loved it so much I buy it for any baby shower I go to!! Make sure you have C batteries handy for when they run out.
This is the second one I have purchased. One for each of my granddaughters. From the time they could focus they were entralled with the "fish" swimming about. I would highly recommend this product for any mother of a newborn. Gives Momy time to relax!
I have a colicky baby who we had to transition into a crib. Got this upon recommendation of a friend and will pass on the recommendation!!! Gave my baby something to focus on so he forgot to scream, and then it gradually dims and gets quiet. Puts him to sleep no worries. Also has a remote that I can crack open the door and turn it back on without the baby seeing me. Love the music selections and my 3 year old is enraptured in watching the turtle!
This is a really awesome item, but there are some drawbacks to it as well. I'll start with the products great features: The Fish are very colorful and there is a nice variety of them on the screen. They rotate really peacefully to nice music. I LOVE how the music gets lower as time passes, and how the lights dim and eventually turn off. The button on the front is VERY convenient, my 8 month old can already turn it on and off by herself. She absolutely loves it. In fact she gets upset when i don't turn it on for her at bedtime/naptime. I also think that shape is great, as she will be able to put it at her bedside when she's in a regular bed if she so desires. The battery compartment is also conveniently located in the back. You don't have to unhook it from the crib to get to it, which is a bonus. That being said there are a few things i don't care for: First, the light is SO bright. Its fine for naps or when I first put her down, but when she wakes up for a feeding in the night and i tuck her back in the light nearly blinds her. She winces as it comes on in her face. It would have been nicer if it was dimmer. Even with the volume control set to the lowest setting, its still pretty loud. I don't know if the makers of this product realized that this is an item that's literally at your baby's head. You shouldn't be able to hear it from the other side of the door. I have to adjust my baby monitor in the night so that its not blaring in my room. If you're buying this because of the remote control (which was one of my selling points!) move along. The remote is basically useless. It only works, maybe, 4 out of 10 times and even then i have to make sure I hit it just right. The remote doesn't have any other functions on it - its JUST on and off. All those problems are liveable, however, the one that really curls my toes is the battery life. There is literally NO warning when the batteries are about to die. Usually when the batteries in a toy are about to go, the toy begins to run sluggish. Not this - the thing just STOPS working! Sure it lets you turn it on, but then it will just STOP in the middle of playing. Its INCREDIBLY inconvenient, as i rely so heavily on this thing to put my baby to sleep. I have to make sure i keep a stock pile of size C batteries in my house at ALL times. If this thing randomly stops working in the middle of the night, i need to be able to fix it ASAP. It would be nicer if I had some warning so that I may change the batteries before they die. All things aside, i do love the item and would recommend it to a friend. As mentioned above, my daughter absolutely loves it and I'm happy I bought it. For $35 its a SUPER buy.
I love this and my baby LOVES aquariums so he loves looking at it....however it does not fit on our crib bc the rail is too thick. I think this pertains to many of the new convertible cribs....our rail is probably only 2 inches wide!! Thankfully my hubby engineered a way to make it work as my son loves it too much for me to forget about and return it. Just something to think about before you purchase it. The company should make the straps longer or make an attachment to lengthen the straps.
So far so good. My son does like it and does watch it sometimes & he is only 2 months. It does play long enough for him to fall asleep which is great because he takes a long time to sleep. The only problem is he is not consitent with it. Meaning it does not always put him to sleep!! That is not the products fault though!!!!!
it was so bright my baby would shy away from it. If the room was well lit she liked it but when the room was darker the toy was blaring bright and she didn't like it. We ended up trying several crib soothers and she likes the fisher price flutterby best, they no longer make them but they can still be frond new if you search. There's one on YouTube too if you want to see it work, it's amazing and she loves it.
