Old "jack" on an original winegard "wind up"; received about 7-8 channels at home in cape Coral. Just returned for a state park 30 miles east of Bradenton; 68 channels!
great instructions. easy to follow.
Fairly easy to install and reception is much better than the previous antenna on my R-Pod trailer. The base is somewhat small with only small seal areas and I used the optional base to make sure that the antenna is leak free installed.
Self-installed it on my RV. Worked great...in my garage. Will test it further in this winter's travels.
Don't forget your mounting bracket.
I purchased this King OA8500 over the air directional HDTV antenna for my 2017 travel trailer. The Continu-us RV TV antenna that came from the manufacturer would only receive 1 channel. Once the King OA8500 was installed I started receiving 9 channels in crystal clear HD resolution. I recommend the MB8200 adapter plate for a very good installation. Fast and free delivery to the store with Wal-Mart.
I bought this because I needed to make room for my up and coming solar system. Catchs a few channels that my batwing didn't on the other hand batwing caught some channels this one doesn't. Not a fair comparison because I live in a Holler for now
Nice product. The signal meter lets you know which direction the strongest signal is coming from. This is the “new” model. I can't really say for sure if it works better than the previous version. They don't provide tech specs, so I don't know if the amplifier is more powerful. The physical design is more streamlined. I would definitely buy again.
It works fairly well - pulls better than most other antennas. But the blue indicator lights are useless, lacking the ability to tell faint signals from strong ones. Totally unreliable. And the screws they used are NOT RUSTPROOF! I had to replace them all with S/S screws when rust streaks showed up after one year. Geez, using S/S screws would have only cost them 25 cents! Overall kinda disappointed.
package good and arive on time (BUT )Its states Items King Jack Directional HDTV RV Antenna with Signal Finder
