Because I just bought this I can't speak for it's longevity or the longevity of the batteries but so far I'm very pleased with it. Easy to read larger display then what I had and quick/easy outdoor sensor installation. Seems to pretty accurate temp-wise and like that it has the atomic time feature. It's by a well known and reputable brand too.
Arrived at the store on time. Placed batteries and it works well. Price was better than the mfg's price and no shipping charge. Recommend Walmart.
I like that there are recorded maximum and minimum temperatures for both inside and outside, although the inside is less pertinent. And the automatic reset at appropriate times is a nice feature. Large numbers, easy to read.
Simple to set up, and easy to read. My last one lasted ten years and was my favorite of all my weather stations for it gives just the two temperatures that are most important. So glad i was able to find a new one.

I bought this to replace the original which I got several years ago. Hopefully, the main unit will last longer. The remote works well, and I am able to use the old one as a second channel monitoring for another location around the house.
We use the weather station in our camping trailer. It works great, but I dock it one star because the instructions say to remove the batteries in both the remote and the base unit if you are not going to be using it for a long time. Removing the batteries means that we must go through the tedious resetting procedure every time we go off camping. Could the pair be redesigned a bit to store the settings in a way that does not depend on the presence of the batteries, or have an on/off switch that enables us to turn off all but the bit of current necessary to hold the settings?
Overall I am very pleased with this weather station although I've only had it about a week. I wanted something simple and easy to blend into the background - not colorful with images of clouds, the sun, etc. It's easy to read and the min/max temp. is fun to see. The only thing I can say that's bad (and not that bad) is similar to other reviewers - it's awkward to set up but once you get beyond that it's fine. Since I read the reviews I knew what to expect and was not surprised. I like it and would recommend it to a friend.
