I purchased this infant sleep positioner for two reasons. One my newborn loves to sleep with us. Two, because she was getting a little congested. When she sleeps in the bed with us, I put her on her side and she sleeps good. She learned how to wiggle off the wedge, put she loves it. It's soft, and it makes her feel secure.
This item was better quality than the one I purchased from a Babies R Us and returned. It is sturdy and really works well for my five week old. We also use it to prop her up in other places other than the crib. I don't like to lie her flat, especially as often as she eats. It is definitely worth the price, which was also less than the one I purchased from Babies R Us. I had it delivered from site to store and picked it up from our local Walmart.
This is something every mom should own. It helped my daughter sleep so much better. It prevents all her gassiness by keeping her slightly elevated, also giving me the ability to set her on her side. It is fantastic also because you can place a blanket on her in the crib and wrap it underneath the wedge, keeping it securely in place. My daughter cannot sleep without the warmth and comfort of a blanket and I was scared to put one on her alone but with this wedge, it has never been out of place when I come in to get her after hours of sleeping.
This thing is great. I wish I bought it six months ago because she has always like to sleep on an angle and on her side!!! I always proped my daughter up with a pillow under the mattress, but she would always slide down. With this she doesn't and she is out cold almost instantly. I don't know what I would do with out it now. Every once in a while she scoots her way down, but I just ajust her and then she is out again. I also have no more worries about her rolling over because she is in there nice and snug.
Our babies are suppose to be on their backs. I then worry about them spitting up and chocking on it. This item keeps them positioned, but also has them on an incline which makes me less worried about the choking. I really like it. I definitely recommend it.
I bought this product in 2004 for my newborn son. He had a problem with a valve in his throat which would make him choke when he swollowed A LOT. This thing was a life saver, I didn't go anywhere without it. I used it until he was like a year old, buy that time the poor thing was so wore out. After using it for a while the velcro weakened and didn't stick the greatest but it still worked you just had to be a little more careful. We are planning for another child and this is already on the list!
I used this product for my fourth child. They did not have this product when I had my first 2 children and it is a bit different then the one I had for my third child, but it is an awesome product and I feel so much more at ease knowing my baby is secure and safe sleeping how he should be.
the wedge is firm, and the two side 'blocks' can be moved/adjusted depending on baby size. can be used as baby grows. the side wedges hold baby in place and makes baby feel secure. depending on if baby is fussy while in the sleeper, baby can 'fall' down, so we place a pillow under her feet to prevent her from slipping out of sleeper.
This product helped elevate my colicky son so he could get rid of gas on his own, but I was disappointed that after less than a month of having it the velcro was completely worn off so the side pieces no longer held him in place. Without these he would just fall off the sides or scoot down off the bottom of the wedge.
This has really helped my son sleep better at night. I like it because when I position him on his side to sleep at night if he turns over in his sleep it's to his back and not his tummy. Sometimes he wiggles off of it though, but that's not a huge problem since it helps him sleep easier and better through the night. The slight elevated lift and the side positioners are just the thing he needed.
