So much better than my last player from a different brand. I like the dvd players over the blu rays for the options. DVD stands for Digital Versatile Disc. The A-B repeat function is lightning fast (my old version had a 3 second delay). Slow motion is a breeze--just hit pause, then pause again and again for single frame advancement. The x2-4 zoom feature is easy to use and looks great. There are no on screen menus that remain on the screen when using the functions. The unit is very quiet while running and the remote works from multiple angles (you don't have to point it directly at the dvd base).
I expected the delivery to arrive late delivery because one day seems not enough for delivery very happy with the fact I got it the next day>>>>>>>good job
I really like several of this affordable player's features. my favorite is that I can play PC burned music CDs on it and I can repeat a CD, like the lullaby one I play for my son at night. I like the way it allows skipping forward and backward, as well. It does things my BluRay player doesn't, so its worth its price and more (to me.)
this thing is nice. super easy set up. just an HDMI cord to the tv. and plug into the wall. hdmi port in back of dvd player.(hdmi cord was not included, we had one, colored cables included tho) i like how when its off theres no lights on. where most have a red light when off and a different color when on. not this. when it comes on the light blinks red until it loads the dvd. then its a solid red light until you turn it off. the remote has volume buttons for the tv and has 2 power buttons. one for the tv. and one for the dvd player. so all you need is the dvd remote to control the tv and dvd player. which is so cool!! and its so sleak and light weight. its very modern. very much like this dvd player.
When I bought it, this player was listed as region free. It's locked to Region 1 (North America). I have searched, but there doesn't seem to be a way to unlock it. I'm sure it's okay if you only want to play American discs, but almost everything in my collection is Region 2, so it's useless.
Read the ad %26 placed order for it, then rechecked wording and Blu-Ray videos playing not part of description, plus one customer review confirmed it does not play Blu-Ray videos. I requested refund as I did its return at store. I did not take it out of its box to examine. I purchased a different brand.
this was hand delivered from the store there's no reason for them to sell damaged used merchandise and have it listed as new!
Any disc player made after 2020 should be able to play blu-ray. This does not not. Instead, it offers useless features like USB recording and X-Video [whatever that is] playback. If I had to do this all over again, I'd have paid more attention to the fine print in the product description and gone with a different brand that actually has a blu-ray playback option instead of features that no one wants or has any use for.
I was able to watch one movie on this and then kept getting the message that the disc was unreadable. Unfortunately, since it was more than 30 days after my purchase, Walmart wouldn't allow me to return it.
This DVD is NOT region free. It clearly has the region 1 symbol on the back of the player, and will not play other regions. My kids are very disappointed as we have a region 2 dvd set of the Hobbit that they can not watch. We bought this specifically because it said it would play all regions. I've spent the morning researching how to unlock it, and nothing works. Do not recommend.
