The shed is very spacious, versatile and sturdy
All parts arrived timely with out any shipping damage. Nothing missing from the included parts with ample screws for assembly even if a few are lost during building. As others have expressed, the assembly instruction must be followed in the order listed. It took around 12 hours work for a first assembly, my guess is that the number of hours could be cut in half for subsequent assemblies.
The shed was straightforward to assemble. Took extra care in building the foundation to make it level and square. Also used 4 screws into the plywood under the floor to keep the floor from moving as the walls were being assembled (removed these after the shed was assembled). Instructions were clear, but reading each step a couple of times and comparing the parts to the pictures helped the assembly go smoothly. With the foundation in place, assembly of the shed took a weekend with the help of wife and daughter. Very satisfied with the shed! Also a shout-out to Justin (customer service representative). He answered all my questions which greatly helped with the decision to go with the Lifetime product and the choice of this model.
I'm very happy with my shed. The doors face north and the metal trim started to rust. Mekenna was great. She understood my need, processed it quickly and remembered to include the hardware.
My brother and dad (both are engineers) spent the majority of the weekend putting this together, including the time spent to make the foundation level. The instructions say it should take 4-6 hours--in our experience that is not an accurate estimate! It would be more helpful if the parts were kept separate--when they opened the parts labeled for one step, there were pieces in there for another step. It made it more difficult to keep track of what goes where. There were some parts missing but customer service is easy to contact and they sent what we needed. I liked how we could choose where the windows and skylights were placed. The shed looks better than I thought it would and will nicely hold all my yard and garden equipment and tools as well as my seasonal decorations.
When I bought this I started looking at the reviews and I became nervous because alot of them said it was hard to put together. However, when we started putting it together it was actually easy as long as you stuck with the directions and followed it step by step. Me and my wife put the majority of it together by ourselves, my wife made sure we stuck to the directions and although it took a few days it was easy to put together. Also a side note, I have to say they have amazing customer service. We needed a replacement piece and they sent it out with extra for free.
Good materials and instructions
Looks great in the end directions are terrible take your time and it will turn out ok
The kit and all that is sent with the kit builds a nice shed. I took my time and didn't rush. It was good to read all the instructions and proceed deliberately. The building really does need at least two people for many of the tasks. However, one person can do much of it by themselves. I have previously completed two other Lifetime buildings. The product continues to improve with better materials and design. I do have one complaint. The shelves are the weakest part of the building. I would prefer a shelf that can be moved when need rather than having to choose where to place it and to move it, one must disassemble the shelf. I had shelves that didn't have the hole for the screw already present. It was hard to get that screw started and have the shelf remain as it should.
I bought this at the beginning of the summer to store my lawn mower and yard tools. My son & I put it together fairly easily. The last roof sections didn't line up perfectly, but seem to be ok. We'll see how it goes after our first snow. Be sure to read the instructions before you tackle this project. It will really help!
