I recently received the Listerine Total Care Stain Remover, Fresh Mint, 16 Ounce, from the Spark Review program. The Listerine Total Care, along with using my pricey Oral-B toothbrush, has finally given me so far 1 cavity free, you read that correctly, that's 1 cavity free dentist visit. I hope the next visit goes very well also.I'm not trying to copy the many comments as others, but I have to be very honest, this stuff absolutely burns and produces an abundance of foam. I have been using the original total care Listerine for years, now I'm trying this. This stuff really burns when in held too long, my tongue and mouth were on fire! I started foaming at the mouth, I was so confused on what might be happening. I was like why am I foaming at the mouth? Then looking at the ingredients and saw the peroxide listed. The directions says to swish between teeth for 1 minutes. Let me tell you this. I really tried and could not do it. Ten or maybe fifth-teen seconds tops. That's it. I eventually got used to the burn, but even now I haven't gotten numb to the burning feeling. I'm not a smoker, however I do see a tiny slight brightest in my teeth. This mouthwash definitely helped using it at least 2x a day, and my teeth are a little brighter. As others have stated, this works well.It is all worth it, not really sure. I do really like it. I can say you really do feel it working. I recommends Listerine Total Care Stain Remover, Fresh Mint.
I've bought this specific product multiple times for my household because of the many benefits and the zero alcohol. When we use it is definitely less intense taste than other products in the same category given still the same if not more benefits than the this one
I use this usually just once a day at night before going to bed, so do not know about the Whitening. Let me tell you that if you purchase this, do not make the mistake I did and put 2 teaspoons in your mouth to swish around for a minute, because this starts foaming up in your mouth and increasing the amount you put in your mouth by about 2 or more. I now just barely put 1/2 teaspoon in my mouth and start swishing it around and it foams up really well and fills your whole mouth up. It does make your mouth feel so much cleaner and healthier. The instructions do tell you after you have used this mouthwash not to eat or drink anything for 30 minutes.
I have been a user of mouthwash for as long as I can remember. Brush...then rinse for good oral hygiene, I always say. Now...any type of mouthwash was good enough for me. As long as it left that clean, minty taste in your mouth, Well, since I have been using this Listerine Total Care Plus Anticavity Mouthwash...clean and minty has taken on a whole new meaning. This mouthwash is different and better for several reasons... First, it restores teeth to natural whiteness...says so right on the bottle. It helps to prevent cavities, strengthen teeth, kills bad breath germs , cleans the whole mouth, restores enamel and it freshens breath. When I used it for the first time, I noticed it foamed up in my mouth as if it was going after those germs. The bottle directions advise you not to eat or drink for thirty minutes after rinsing. This product really cleans the entire mouth. An excellent product.

I have spent the last year at the dentist office being treated for dental bone loss. I am post menopausal and was not aware that I even had a problem. I have learned now that a major reason for this is gum disease and/or infection that I was not even aware of. Obviously brushing your teeth a couple times a day was not enough to prevent this. To avoid more dental bills I have been pretty strict about flossing and rinsing with Listerine every day. Luckily I showed improvement and more intense treatment was not needed. I like this Fresh Mint flavor but did detect a slight medicinal type aftertaste that other Listerine flavors didn't have. I may or may not try this flavor again. One thing I do like about Listerine is that they are always offering coupons and many times that will be the reason why I choose 1 product over another.
The working ingredient in this mouthwash is hydrogen peroxide. The directions tell you to use 2tps. That is ALL you want to use! It foams as H2O2 does. It leaves your mouth clean and fresh, although, you will continue to have minor "foaming" in your mouth for a few seconds. As far as whitening, my husband said he saw results. I think it helped a little. I am a coffee, soda, and red wine drinker so any results are beneficial for me. If nothing else, I think it will keep my teeth from further staining. Try it for yourself.
Have been using this for about a week now and it has been an enjoyable time. I could see myself using this as my primary mouthwash. Normally get the cool mint one form this brand . My family has been using Listerine for years.
Many of the products claims are long term things that can't be proved or disproved in a short amount of time. With a brand name I'm sure they've tested it to confirm the claims. It is a stain remover, helps prevent cavities, kills bad breath germs, cleans the whole mouth, restores enamel and freshens breath. My teeth are nice and shiny white. I don't know if I have bad breath, but it definitely got rid of the nasty taste in my mouth a couple times. Unfortunately, I had to stop using it. I used it a couple times a day for about a week and every time I did, it felt like the front part of my tongue was on fire. I tried another mouthwash and didn't have any problem. Something about the mouthwash makes my mouth water to the point that I have to spend a minute by the sink or I'd be drooling.
I used this twice over 2 days and large clumps of gum skin are peeling off. The skin keeps coming off and I'm not sure how to stop it now. Won't be using this mouthwash anymore.
