Ps4 or Xbone, its a tough decision. I went with microsoft for a few reasons. First off the games i want to play in this new generation are only on xbox, Halo, Gears of war and so on and two, in my opinion, microsoft has the better online network. The xbox one isnt perfect the voice commands dont always work in my somewhat noisy household, four kids and a sometimes barking dog but when its quiet i would say its 90 percent accurate. Where i have to disagree with alot of people is when it comes to graphics. The Xbone isnt a pc, I have a fairly good rig and no console can match that on a graphics level if the power is used, but saying that i must add that ryse son of rome is probably the best looking game i have ever seen period. The controller is also the best i have ever used, good feel with a very long battery life. The console is alot quicker when moving through the menus and switching aps then i thought it would be so over all i would say it's a great product. I don't have cable so i cant comment on the tv side of things but as for web and downloading and also streaming its an improvement over last generation. Overall i'm quite happy with this product, games are great, works well and titanfall is just a few days away. Good job microsoft i don't really care for most of your products but i believe your getting this right even tho there are alot of nay sayers out there.
Hardware: console is super quite , like a noise cancellation machine is added to it. its bigger that ps4 but who cares. Kinect: thats the core of Xbox One ,I loved Xbox ON feature, thats one this I missed most on 360. the sensors are perfect , voice command recognitions are 70% hit and miss but thats much better than 360.and facial recognition is amazing. I dont have kinect game so I can't do much to see how it does with games. Dashboard: its much organized than xbox 360 and way better than ps3 and ps4.its superfast intuitive with tiles pins notifications lots of apps and yes you get skype integration is awesome and you also get premium account that a bonus :) Games: I played Ryse and I could say its graphics are best you can see in a video game , perfect 1080p I am yet to try FIFA 14, but games visuals are really nice and using multitasking during game is super exciting overall its the best Gaming device with a lots of added advantages
Amazing multitasking capabilities. Runs smooth. Very easy to use interface. Voice commands are effective and diverse. Community is stellar. Overall, the experience is the best gaming/multimedia experience all rapped up in one console. I have Forza 5 and need for speed rivals and they both make good use of voice commands. Rivals more so, but Forza is killer with the graphics/physics and community.
Xbox One Console is absolutely amazing system and I am definitely glad I got it. There are not a lot of games at the time of the system's release but the games that are out so far are great. The Xbox One goes from watching TV to playing games seamlessly. The connect system is also intergraded much better than it was within the Xbox 360. The user interface within the game is customizable and also integraded very well. Eventhough I have only had the systme for only a few days I have had no issues with the system. I think this system will not have the same problems that the Xbox 360 had with the red ring of death. I think this system is built on a better architecture structure and I would definitely recommend this system as not only a gaming system but also an overall multimedia device. As far as games are concerned Forza and Battlefield 4 are perfect games for this system and I don't think I have turned off the system since I've gotten it. Thank you for reading my review, if you have any questions feel free to email me, I would be happy to help you with any questions you have.
The price tag hurts but the Xbox One is awesome. Easier to use over ps4. (Own both)
Next gen is here. This is a fine wine, with age comes new apps, features. Snapping in apps and multitasking is a feature I thought they'd never accomplish. Playing a game and watching tv at the same time is heavenly. It can be glitchy at times, black screen, needs soft and hard reboots, physically disconnecting the power cable. It's missing some important features, the friends and party system is way different than its predecessor(360). Any member of the party can pull you into games and matches especially prevalent in Battlefield 4. Surround sound for headphones is missing. DLNA is missing, (you can push videos to it) via skifta and media server on PC, or clumsy windows phone/tablet. Again, these will get patched away and updated so the future is bright. The visual are top notch, controller battery life is too, lasted a week and a half of constant use. If you on the fence , hopefully this gives you insight. This is designed to be your centerpiece of you entertainment/ living room. It's on all the time, in standby waiting for any input from its master. I have hooked up my receiver, my PC, my old 360 to it. The HDMI pass through was a brilliant feature. This thing gets hot, plan for a well ventilated area and don't you dare stick anything on top of this. Lucky for us it has a built in shutoff when the max temp is reached. It's black, piano glossy , dust and finger print magnet. Thanks for reading!
This is a very powerful gaming system. However, it lacks games at the moment. Though games will come out for it that will be great, at the moment the Xbox360 still rules in the game dept. The Kinect works good but it doesn't recognize all tv channels. Like once i would say xbox watch NatGeo Wild and it would connect no problem, now it doesn't recognize it at all (and it's like that on about 5 channels that i watch the most). Monthly updates shows that it can be weaked but i wish it would be tweaked to be backwards compatiable. I love the controller and the system but only time will tell if this is worthy to take the crown from the 360. Games are the life blood of a system, without them then it's just a powerful BlueRay player. At the moment NBA2K14, Madden, BF4, and UFC are the only games i would say worth buying for this system. Eveything else is just childish non-sense that should not even had been apart of a system of this caliber. No Baseball games, no "real" Golf games, sigh, lets see what E3 2014 promises and go from there...time will tell.
Xbox One has so much more to offer than the PlayStation 4 that I'm going to be finding new things out about it for the next 2 months probably. Its been great, it hasn't messed up one time since I've had it and the only thing I could possibly complain about is having to download the games when you first buy them and it not being able to play previous generation games.
The graphics on the system are great and the system is easy to use. The graphics are outstanding on game play and while streaming videos. The only down side was that the kinect worked for only three days before I had to return it to Microsoft. Still waiting on the replacement.
What is there to say about the Xbox one... It took 2.5 hours to install Dead Rising 3 before I could play, and that is with fast internet. The voice commands work some of the time, but I would have to raise my voice to almost yelling at it which doesn't work well when everyone is sleeping. Back to Playstation for me. Pros: Very nice dashboard interface. Game selection is better than PS4 at the moment. Cons: Inferior graphics. Load times. No compatible headsets.
