We got the nanit once we were ready to move our baby into the nursery for a couple of reasons. 1. Because of the breathing wear capabilities and 2. Because we could be further away from the camera and still get alerts for movement and crying. With the other camera and monitor we were using, we couldn't go further than our living room without losing reception. The App and system both work great. Nanit insights have been a great help as we are first time parents. I know exactly how much time it's been since her last nap and how many naps she's taken throughout the day. I do wish the night camera was a little bit clearer, but its still pretty good. We recently went out of town and didn't take the camera, which we immediately regretted. We're going to order the travel stand for future trips. The nanit breathing wear swaddle isn't sufficient enough on its own for our very spastic baby, but we just use the Ollie under it and keep the room cool. Also needed some help from customer service at one point and they were great! Overall 5 star experience with this product and company.
Our Nanit has been a game changer for our family. We love everything about it. It has been great to see the updates that have come out since we've owned it. Extremely pleased with the how the one customer service issue we've had was handled. Would recommend to any parent of a newborn/infant.
We loooove our Nanit! Definitely worth every single penny. The complete system is a bit on the pricey side but the set up was easy and the features are great! We love the email insights too! We have had it for a month now and have had no issues or problems with it at all. I highly recommend this product!
Worth every penny! It gives me great peace of mind to know my baby is doing okay all night. The breathing wear is a must if you're considering getting the nanit. The sleep insights are really great too I love that this monitor takes out a lot of the guesswork from my baby's sleep habits
It has been a great experience with our Nanit. It gives us a peace of mind when she is in her nursery. Knowing that her breathing is being monitored let's us sleep better. I wish we had another camera just to have in another part of our house! The recap of the night helps us see her sleeping habits and see what she does. We actually saw her roll over for the first time while watching her on my phone! I like that we both can watch her on our phones and not just share one monitor. We love that we can also easily download videos/photos or share them.
Temperature gauge is helpful and I love being able to watch her sleep. The motion detection is too not ideal (regardless of how I change the level). It mostly catches when I go next to the crib but hardly ever catches when she is actually moving in the crib.
Overall I do love This monitor. Pro: Sleep, logs. I love the analysis it gives you and videos. Cons: the cost for the service to view more than 7 days and beyond a year is pricey. Pro: sound quality is great, I can hear him And the mic he can hear me. Set up was easy and the look is sleek. Camera during the day is grate, I feel that for the cost the night camera could be much better. The sleep band is very loud when you remove it wish you could safely attach quieter
We've had the Nanit first for our son for several years and now for our daughter. There are several major flaws. The first and most annoying is how wrong the Nanit is on their sleep habits...it is constantly saying that we got them out of bed in the middle of the night or that they fell asleep when their still awake. This happens almost daily so the sleep log and insights are almost always wrong. Secondly is that with multiple Nanits, I hate that I have to switch between screens to check on both my kids. There should be a screen where I can see both cameras at the same time. That would be super helpful. The sound detection through the notifications settings is too sensitive. The sensitivity level needs to be much larger/broader so you have the option to only hear a real cry. Right now there doesn't seem to be much difference between the more sensitive setting and the less sensitive setting.
When the camera works it's great... but it is often offline. We have it right beside our network and on several occasions nanit is offline but our internet is working perfect. Hard to rest easy if you're uncertain of the camera operating properly. However I would be remiss if I didn't say I otherwise Love the system. I just strongly feel they need a push update in software. It's great when it works.
Just a camera. As far as sleeping patterns Nanit can not tell when our son is sleeping. It'll tell us he fell asleep though he's still awake twirling his hair. So for sleep patterns I'd rate it a 0. Camera wise just another camera. Nothing special. NOT WORTH the cost.
