The N800 is a wonderful little device, but there are a couple of little things that it doesn't do that I expected it to. Namely, out of the box with OS2007, it doesn't have an X Terminal, and it doesn't have telnet and SSH installed out of the box. Not big issues, but I expected a Linux-based device to have these basic features. However, other than those little things, I'm extremely happy with it.
Easy to use and set up, requires no pc, simply connect to a wireless point and your on your way to reading emails and making calls via skype.
I bought this product and i had fun with it because it is easy to use, not like hp products (handhelds). I highly recommend this product this is also like laptop-just doesnt have microsoft word excel powerpoint or slide shows. but other than that this is like laptop. you should scroll up and and it to your cart and buy it. i use it everyday and this nokia loads faster than my hp laptop. one problem with this is you cant watch videos on youtube but you can watch it on google and other websites like aol music or yahoo music. buy it right now just scroll up and add it to ur cart and buy it thanks for reading
Great item, works great, use it every day.
Handy little device. Only negative is that the head phones are not loud enough and there is no way to adjust volume on them.
interesting little device, but not terribly useful. The built-in webcam doesn't really work with any commonly used software so if you're hoping to do video chat, you'll be really disappointed. Battery life was a big disappointment as well. if you just want a TINY screen to browse the web with, it's worth the $200 I guess.
The concept of being able to go online without having to haul a laptop was appealing. You can carry this anywhere just like a cell phone or your glasses. The problem is the screen - way too small. You can only view a few lines at a time. In this day of larger screens on laptops, desktops, TVs, etc., it is very hard to go back to using such a small screen.
An expensive tool that doesn't work is a...paperweight. It would not connect to my home network. Spent most of a weekend trying to troubleshoot both on my own and with the Nokia Techs who ultimately determined that the error messages I was getting were known to them and were related to a software problem. They suggested I send it in for repair. I returned it instead. Maybe I just got a lemon which is not reflective of what most people will experience. I can only tell of what I experienced.
