excellent product!!!!...beautiful knives... very modern!
We are very satisfied with our Oneida knives. I did a lot of quality and price comparison before making this purchase... from Henkle to Rachel Ray, from $100.00 block sets to $400.00 sets. The design of these knives is very modern and comfortable in the hands. They are easy to clean. We really like that each knife is one piece of stainless steel...no separate handles, screws, etc. The block itself is also very attractive and functional, with each knife slot labelled with the knife type and length.
These are great, I just love them. Because I don't have a lot of money, for this price I would have liked them to be EVEN SHARPER and for the label on the front to be STRAIGHT..it's crooked..which strangely is a problem others have reported. For this price, you want to display them..and that crooked label just looks cheap. They have a very, very nice weight to them. They are individually wrapped when you receive them, so that is great. The block they are stored in is heavy, so combined with the knives, a heavy set. Personally, because I am frugal ;0) I would say this is a 49 dollar set, not 79...but I am thrilled to have them and hope to enjoy them for a long time.
I like the product. I would of liked it more if more care was placed in the quality appearance of the handles rubber gromets. If they were made with a little more attention to detail with consistant appearance it would make the product more appealing visually. Overall nice product for the price range.
Nice set of knives but not as sharp as i was expecting. I had to run them through the sharpener a few times to get them just right. The brand sticker on the front was crooked and needed to be straightened. Other than that they are good quality and very good looking.
These knives are great, until you wash them. I washed them and I guess they didn't dry all the way and guess what? RUST! I figured it was my fault for not drying them, but now weeks later they are dull! They didn't come with a sharpener, so as of today several weeks after I purchased them... I have rusty dull knives. They still look great in the knives set container, but once you pull them out they are no better than a flea market knife! Unless you have some rust off and a knife sharpener don't waste your money.
