Delicious! Packed full of cherries and flavor. I bought it on a whim when our Granddaughter wanted pumpkin pie for dessert and I didn't. So I bought a pumpkin pie and Patti Labelles cherry cobbler because it caught my eye. I am happy that I did because it was a big hit. Our pumpkin pie craving 10 year old Granddaughter wanted some when she saw it on my plate. She loved it and had 2 servings! Needless to say the cherry cobber container is empty and that pumpkin pie hasn't been touched!
Wow, My mom makes the best cobbler ever so I was wondering about Pattiâs line of cobblers. Well to my surprise it was great. Packed with cherries and a great crust. I have turned my family on to this desert. They are always the same everytime I buy one and that is often. Thanks Patti from a cherry cobbler fan. I am dissappointed in the fact that i havenât be able to find any the last couple of months. Leave it just the way it is. No crumble topping. Crust and more crust.
One of the best cherry cobblers I've ever had. Most are either too sweet, or bland. This has just the right amount of sweet and tart. I like to sprinkle a little sugar in the raw on top before heating. My only complaint is it doesn't seem to be available at most Walmarts anymore.
One of the best Cherry Cobblers. Got lucky and purchased off discounted bakery stand. Nice buttery crust with big plump cherries. Couple of things that didn't get to the 5 star level ... 1) Found two cherry pits ... not cool. 2) Be cautious when bagging ... be sure it's alone in its own bag, it will leak juices if tilted. A LOT ! Other than that, it was darn good eating ... be sure to heat them as directed folks.
For me, excellent cobbler should have an amazing crust and preferably a crumb topping crust. This crust succumbs to the moistness of the cherries and liquid. As a result, it isn't very good. You need that bread or crust to balance out all the liquid cherries. The sweetness is moderate. I did add some vanilla ice cream of course. All in all, since this isn't easy to find in Southern California it was worth trying but I'm not sure I'd buy it again. This "sniffs in" at about 3.5 stars...
Sorry but I found the crust to be like cardboard. It was heated as instructed and I just didn't care for it at all. We love cherries and this was a big letdown. I went on to buy TastyKake cherry pies instead, which we loved. I will never buy any else from Patti's line as I had the same issue with a pie, crust like cardboard.
