[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blades are sharp it does a good job on my beard
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Durable, High Quality Product. Easy to Operate, and allows for flexible beard trimming levels.
I received this beard trimmer in exchange for my unbiased opinion. Having said that, I could not be more impressed with this product. My first impression upon opening the package was that this trimmer was solidly built, sturdier than any others I had used previously. Although it was a bit larger than my previous trimmer, it was so well-balanced that it actually felt lighter in my hand. I really like the zoom wheel method of cutting length adjustment. It is very precise and offers a wider range than I have seen in other trimmers. Cleanup is easy as the combs slide in and out of the unit with minimal effort. The included instructions were concise and the illustrations were helpful, although one thing they don't mention is that the length setting isn't visible until the unit is powered on. The one item that might be included as a future enhancement is some sort of carrying case or pouch to make storage easier. This trimmer definitely makes grooming easier!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Phillips Beard Trimmer series 5000 Beard and hair trimmer is great for trimming your beard or for the stubble look. I really like the lift and trim system and the battery last a long time and it is comfortable to hold. It also does not cost alot. I highly recommend this beard trimmer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] That is the best Beard Trimmer I have ever had. for sure.
Trims my beard much better than the older model and guide adjustment is so much easier. I just wish it was water proof like the older model. Still the best beard trimmer I have owned.
I received this trimmer as a sample for agreeing to use it and provide an honest, unbiased opinion. I have used a lot of different trimmers in my adult life, and so far this is in the top 2. My first thought when I received it is that I wished it had a nice base to set it in to charge. After thinking about it, in reality I've had plenty of trimmers that had the base that I rarely ever used after the first charge. I plugged it in and charged it fully over night, but it did have a decent charge when I received it. The first use I was pretty impressed with the first of 3 attachments meant for beard / goatee trimming. Despite the size of the attachment, it was extremely effective for my beard, including the mustache area under my nose which most trimmers have a hard time reaching to be effective. There are 2 other attachments that are meant for hair trimming which I don't have an immediate need for, but will come in handy. The adjustments wheel for length was able to get down to .4 mm, with .2mm increments up to 7mm. The hair trimmer starts at 6.4 up to 13. In my opinion there was great thought put into the lengths and it works extremely well. Without any attachments, the blades work well for a quick, close trim and I was only pinched on my neck once, compared to every other trimmer I've used which makes it impossible to use without looking like you were attacked. The size is pretty fantastic and it looks and feels very sturdy. I've only been using it for a few days so far, but overall am very impressed and it is of the quality I would expect from the Philips Norelco brand. I would absolutely buy another one, and would also recommend to friends and family.
I received this product to review. Regardless, I was very happy with the razor's performance and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a midrange electric razor. I'm new to having a beard and thus far have been using a cheaper model which needs to be plugged in to use. It seems petty, but the simple requirement of having to take the time to attach the razor to the outlet before a shave resulted in spending most of my time with an unkempt face. Now that I've been using the Phillips 5100, I just charge it up and keep it next to my sink. After brushing my teeth I grab the razor and run it over my face for 10 seconds. As a result I've gone from shaggy to groomed. So far I've found that the unit holds its charge very well. I charged it once upon opening it up and 10 days later it hasn't begun to fade. Adding to its ease of use are the simple clipper attachments. I appreciate that they have a nice groove to slide into so that there's no doubt about attaching them correctly, and once one it's easy to adjust the desired shave length with a fun dial. There is a manual but I didn't need it, just slapped on the clippers, fiddled with the dial and started shaving. Results were clean and quick. SUMMARY: - Great for a midrange. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product looked perfect for what I wanted it for and came with several useful attachments. The problem is the edge of the blades themselves are sharp and can nick you if you're not careful. Not talking about where the hairs go in to get clipped but the outside corners and other areas that touch your skin when you use it. Especially in sensitive areas.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The trimmer it's self is nice, the gaurds are way to bulky and awkward though when trying to trim in certain angles or areas of the face .
