This Play Day sidewalk chalk art play set is so much fun. My boys love arts and crafts and also love sidewalk chalk so this was perfect for them. They love drawing pictures on our driveway. I was amazing with everything that was included in this set. We kept pulling stuff out of the bucket. I was amazing they fit that much into it and also equally amazed that it all easily fit back inside the bucket. The bucket comes in very handy to store everything, bring it with you and keep it all together so that none of it gets lost. It's nice to grab and take to the park or friends house too. With this set you get: the bucket, 39 pieces of chalk, 4 plastic chalk holders, 1 egg shaped chalk set that comes with 4 different colored chalk eggs, 1 chalk brush that holds 3 pieces of chalk, 4 stencils, also a chalk holder that holds 6 round pieces of chalk and some refills for it also included. You also separately get a package of 52 pieces of chalk the 26 different colors. It really is a ton of stuff! There are so many colors included in this set too. There are primary colors and also pastels. Pretty much any color you would ever need. The bucket says ages 4 and up, but I think you could use it with younger kids just supervise them well. The chalk seems to be well made and don't crumble. There are all different shapes and sizes of chalk and the chalk holders that is nice so that kids of all ages can use them. It also makes it fun to mix the colors and use several colors at the same time. This set is going to keep my boys busy for a long time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I think it would be good for boys and girls. It make a great gift as well. My boys absolutely love it and it really is a great deal considering everything you get in this set.
WOW...plenty of sidewalk chalk. They also included not just stencils, BUT also enough holders for 4+ kids to play simultaneously. They have the large egg shaped ones for tiny hands, and another one for making three lines simultaneously. 4 large holders and also a small wheel like chalk holder. My kids used them all afternoon, without any complaints. Still plenty left over to last a good while. I will try replacing some of the sidewalk chalk when we run out, or will just get another bucket again. Well worth the money in my opinion. It costs $4/5 for a crayola set of 48 chalk. For $9/10 you can get 91 pieces of chalk AND all these cool activity stuff. So definitely a good value.
WOW! This is AMAZING as far as any "sidewalk chalk" play sets go! This unique play set is far beyond the typical sidewalk chalk you have ever seen. This set comes complete with a ton of beautifully crafted chalks that will not roll about or are so big your kids can't grasp them, but also with fabulous sleeves that keep the sticks from breaking up as the kids use them! I was truly amazed at the effort put into the usefulness and easy to use bucket of chalk fun! The kit comes with a huge container of chalks in a delightful array of colors. Each chalk is squared off to prevent it from rolling down the driveway or walk creating a hazard if a child should decide to chase after it, especially if your driveway or sidewalk is steep. The holders serve to keep their tiny hands from getting all "chalky" and messy as well as stopping them from breaking up. The bucket is FULL of stencils for all sorts of great chalk-scapes and helps the youngest of them to create fantastic designs that would otherwise be near impossible to do! The package of chalks is quite heavy for the little ones but that worked to my advantage in letting them take out only a few at a time with their favorite colors. So many to choose from and no arguments since there are so many! They even shared the ones they chose and helped each other with the stencils! This was a definite hit with the toddler crowd and the wear and tear on everything was minimal so plenty of use with this bucket of fun is in the future! The fun and fresh air was great for everyone after this winter of mostly indoors and once we get a little rain and the chalk washes away cleaning the "slate" for a whole new artistry display we can enjoy the budding artists' work! This is a MUST GET Activity Bucket for all the kids...senior and toddler!! Great fun and SUPER EASY!!!
The Play Day 52-Piece Chalk Activity Bucket is the best outdoor chalk set I have ever seen. And the price can not be beat!! It comes with 39 pieces of chalk, 4 holders, 4 stencils and of course the big bucket with a lid to store the chalk in. There are so many different types of colors. Too many to name but colors I have never seen in sidewalk chalk. Plenty of neighborhoods kids could play with them and there won't be any fighting over colors. The chalk shape is not round so they don't blow or roll away in the driveway/sidewalk while laying on the ground. Haven't seen that feature on sidewalk chalk either. I would think this package would be worth more than $10!!!
This review is for the Play Day 52 piece sidewalk chalk set. It comes with lots and lots of beautiful pieces of chalk. It also comes with 4 chalk holders, 4 stencils, a line drawer, a round holder, and a big bucket to store all of your wonderful chalk and accessories. The chalk comes in such pretty and vivid colors. I like the variety of colors. There is even a dark gray which you usually don't see in a set of sidewalk chalk. The feature I like the most in this chalk set is that the chalk has a notch at the bottom of the chalk stick. This helps the chalk to not roll away while you are playing and drawing with the sidewalk chalk. I think that is such a brilliant and smart feature. It saves you from becoming frustrated! No more roll away chalk!!! I really like the holders for the chalk. They make it easier to write and draw with. I like the stencils and the large round holder. I also like that they included a big and nice plastic bucket to store it all away in when you are not using it. The sidewalk chalk set is recommended to be used by ages 4 and above. You will be able to spend so much time outside and have lots of fun. Just think of all of the pretty pictures, designs, and drawings you can make. I can see lots of rainbows being made with all of the pretty colors. I give this Play Day 52 piece sidewalk chalk set 5 stars. I like everything about it. I like that the children will be able to play outside and use their imagination. This would make a great Spring Break toy or summer gift for your children to enjoy!!! Thanks!!!
I am really impressed with this chalk bucket bundle! When received this chalk bucket play set , it come with Extra 52 count sidewalk chalk ! Total 91 count sidewalk chalk. The 26 variety colors and paly set really make my son's love it. Great product.
My Grandson, who is soon to be four years old, squealed with gladness when he saw this sidewalk chalk art play set! He was so pleased when he realized, that because of their shape, the chalk would NOT roll away into the street!!! He uses the driveway as his canvass. He enjoyed not getting his hands full of chalk. He was able to put the chalk into each holder with no difficulty, which amazed me! There are egg shaped and round shapes of chalk which he seemed to like. I think his favorite is the egg shaped as it fit nicely into his hand. He had a little trouble with the stencils but caught on after a short time. He still is an ‘out of the box' kind of artist which delights me no end. He will soon learn that “in the box” is where most of us have to be most of the time. It was great to see that some of the holders for the chalk allow for multiple chalks to be used together. It allows him to see how blending colors make additional colors. The numerous choices of colors make for many diverse adventures with what ever animal or car or train is drawn. I found that he got thoroughly enthralled with what he could accomplish with them. The frosting on the cake came when he saw that he could store everything in the included bucket along with the little car, dinosaur and small train pieces he used as props! I did not pay for this. It was sent to me to review. I highly recommend this and my daughter in-law said that it would be a great present to bring as a gift to the many birthday parties he goes to. Afordable, made well and fun.
I opened this chalk set with my grandkids and they were so excited! It was wrapped in so much bubble wrap that nothing would have dared break. The large bucket that contained some of the chalk had a pretty green lid and handle. The bucket itself is clear so you can see the chalk inside. It is made nice and sturdy. There was so much chalk! Some of it was inside the bucket and some of the chalk was in a separate package. Plenty for the three of them to share. There were so many colors. The stencils were big enough for their little fingers to use. The individual chalk holders were nice after I figured out how to use them. One of the other chalk holders is round and holds five chalks at a time to make designs. Another one holds three chalks in a straight line. Some of the chalk looks like eggs to me. They are easy for little hands to hold. This will keep them busy and happy for quite a while. It is a very creative toy as they can let their imaginations run wild with their drawings. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with children. They will love it and you will love seeing their happy faces.
The sidewalk chalk kit comes with so many cool chalk colors. I think the only one I did not see is black. The stencils are really fun to use. They are easy to use, but hard to make the outline, which is to be expected. It isn't easy to write on the sidewalk to begin with. Most of the tools they give you to write with are useless though. There is one that holds four sticks at a time so that you can write four lines at once I guess, but the chalk sticks out too far and brakes off. Then the other individual ones that you put one stick in doesn't hold it in place and they just slide up in to it when you try to write. It reminds me of a broken mechanical pencil. There is one however that is shaped like a circle and holds multiple pieces of the round ball shaped chalk, and it works good. The kit comes in a really cool plastic bucket, but it doesn't fit all the chalk that is included. The chalk itself seems good and well made. I'm not really sure if such a thing can even be graded. My son and I had a lot of fun using the kit.
The Play Day 52 piece chalk activity bucket is quite the treasure according to my seven year old daughter. She loves coloring with sidewalk chalk on our driveway, and this big old bucket of chalk is her dream come true! Four stencils are included, but the size of the images was a bit small. My daughter had trouble using the thick chalk to create outlines. A few different chalk holders are offered. Single chalk holders, triple chalk holders, and even a multiple chalk holder was included. The holders work well for creating rainbow like outlines. The multiple chalk holder used round chalk, like little balls, and they did not stay in the holder very well. Back up chalk is included, which is very important when you have a long spring/summer season ahead of you. The chalk is thick, good quality chalk. It did not break in half even when my daughter pressed hard to create saturated images on the concrete. The colors are very nice and varied. I almost want to describe them as chalk crayons, but the colors easily wash away with water or even a good sweep from a broom will remove them when you are ready for a clean canvas. The bucket is a good solid bucket. It holds everything it came with easily, and it fits nicely on a shelf in the garage. With spring break right around the corner, this is my go-to activity for hours of creative fun outside!
