Power Smart PS6108 6 Amp Corded Extending Pole Saw. I got this new saw a couple of weeks ago and I just had the time to use it. We have a small house with front and back yard, with some medium size trees. Since last hurricane season, one of my front trees has a big broken branch, but it didn't fall of, I was worry that it can fall down at any moment over my car, and I was not able to cut it using a later, but this weekend finally I cut it using this new extended pole saw. It was very easy and fast. The design is great, it's a little heavy in the end where the motor is, but if you hold it vertically it will not bother you at all. It has auto lubrication, with oil storage, so you don't have to be worry about lubricating the chain all the time. It also gets separated in the middle for east storage and after you put it together it is telescopic adjusting to make it longer. This is not a saw for a tall and big tree, but it is great to have it at home, for those medium size trees, and to keep the branches where you want, especially at hurricane season you can trim your trees by yourself. I'm happy with this chain sow, is safe, comfortable and easy to use.
Saw came shipped in just two pieces. With the instructions I snapped them together and the saw was ready to go. Very sturdy and well made. This saw has a telescoping pole and you can make it longer or shorter depending upon the job. It's electric so you need a long outdoor electrical cord. Has great power and torque. Easy to use and raise above your head. I'm very pleased with it.
For years I have been trimming our trees using manual cutters. They did the job pretty good. Then I was handed this to try out. OH WOW. This sucker sliced through everything I put in front of it. I was chopping 2 inch thick branches in less than 3 seconds. It has a small oil tank just behind the blade so don't forget to keep it filled. I almost overlooked it myself...but the oil is pretty cheap and it didn't use much of it at all. The 1 bottle I bought should last years. Now.....it is somewhat front heavy. As you trim more and more your arms will tire if you hold it out in front of you and not more above you. I suppose the height of your trees will have a huge impact on that. I found that if I stand at an angle to the branch I was cutting, I was able to trim much more before I had to take any breaks. Just don't stand under the branch haha.
This is great build and great quality. I'm truly impressed. The electric pole saw comes in a semi-connected 2 piece. Whether you read the instructions or not, they're really easy to assemble. The adjustable pole saw extends to a max of a little over 8 feet. So, standing at an average of 5'7-6' feet tall, you can use this to get to quite a lot of small trees. There's a window on the pole saw so you can see the amount of oil, which is always convenient. I put The angle of the saw is awesome. It just makes things so much easier when you're cutting above you and have the advantage of a bit of angle to cut “down” on. The power and saw is great quality. I recommend using this for smaller tree branches or twigs. It saws it up like butter, and gets the job done so quickly. If you're looking to use this for bigger logs or even tree trunks, you should probably get something more suitable for that. Just saying. For my purposes though, I mainly use it for trimming twigs that always overgrows onto my driveway every spring and summer, and ends up scratching my car windows. It does the job quickly and efficiently. Don't forget to wear protective gear. When you're standing beneath something you're cutting, you're bound to get some saw dust on yourself. The last thing you want is getting hit in the eye...

I have to say the pole saw was easy to use. We have a bunch of trees surrounding our house and every year we get low hanging or dead branches. This well built Power Smart PS6108 6 Amp Corded Extending Pole Saw with Automatic Lubrication System, 8, Red will come in so handy for me. It also didn't feel to heavy and was easy to manouver around. I wpuld recommend the Power Smart PS6108 6 Amp Corded Extending Pole Saw with Automatic Lubrication System, 8, Red.
My husband is loving this pole saw. He said it's heavy duty and made to last. It extends quite a bit. Which makes the pole long enough to reach the top of the tree by our driveway. It has a powerful motor and cuts through branches with ease. It's not terribly heavy. So, it hangs nicely on the storage unit hooks in our garage. We give it two thumbs up!!!
I am pleased with this saw. I have several smaller limbs that needed trimmed and the manual loppers were to small to use on them. Thisbsaw waent right thru with ease. I had no issues putting the saw together however I didn't realize it took oil so read the package to buy the correct oil first. Not sure the durability of this saw it is plastics and I have nothing to compare it to as this is my first time ever using anything like this. However for the small things I was needing it for it did a great job.
I have never uses a pole saw or chainsaw before, but I have some neighbors behind me who refuse to trim their tree and its droppings are destroying my pool so I was happy to find this powerful, adjustable pole saw that is great quality and within my budget. I like how easy it was to assemble, and how easy it is to fill with SAE 30 oil and that there is a little window on the tank so I can make sure the self lubricating saw doesn't run dry. It's very easy to adjust the length and it was powerful enough to cut through each branch I tried it on. I will say that I'm out of shape and found it a little heavy so I had to take frequent breaks while I cut. I didn't have any issues with branches getting stuck or anything, it cut through them like butter. My only issue was not having a long enough extension cord to reach all the way to the back of my property. I tried using 2 cords but I kept flipping the breaker on the electrical outlet. Using just one cord gave me no issues. This is an easy to use, great landscaping tool to have on hand, recommended.
The Power Smart PS6108 Pole Saw is a nice addition to have for those hard to reach branches that need trimming. Assembly is minimal and super easy. My biggest complaint would be that the saw does not come with any oil, at least a sample to get you started would be nice, especially for someone like me that didn't have any in hand. Starting and operating the saw is also easy and it did a great job trimming branches. The largest branch I've cut so far was probably 3” in diameter and it handles the job well.
It's spring, and there's lots to do outdoors. We have two large bushes beside the front steps. We've been wanting to cut them down for quite some time. We used this saw to cut these bushes down. I thought to trim them, but as we started cutting, we decided to just take the bush down to the ground. We cut small sapling size branches. It worked best though cutting branches that were about two to three inches thick. We cut them with ease.The saw also has a great safety feature. In order to pull the trigger to get it to work, you must push a button on top of the pole at the same time. For me, holding this saw is very awkward. The pole is very long, and the saw end is kind of heavy. It's difficult to keep the saw steady and pull the trigger to operate it. All in all this is a powerful saw that cuts well.
