I bought this the first time to wrap around our coffee table. The second time to cover the side of the crib. Found it easy to apply and protects baby's head nicely.
I have a 1 year old daughter and she is clumsy as everything so this product has helped tremendously. She is just now getting tall enough to bang her head on our kitchen table so I was looking for something to remedy that and this product got the job done.
The edge guard works well but you have to make sure that you place it on precisely otherwise it falls off (or in my case is pulled off by a curious 7 month old). This product relies on double sided tape to attach to whatever edges you need it on and provides more then enough tape.
I ordered this to keep from hitting my head on our FROG's steps which run down into the laundry room. It looks well made and a good product. However, once I received it in the store, I was disappointed to see it was much darker than the picture. Indeed the color is Tan, not ivory or white. So it would really have clashed with the white walls in the laundry room. They only sell this product in Tan and Brown {a fact we picked up from the packaging itself.) We returned it from within the store.
This product is very well made and has greatly reduced the number of potential accidents by my 1 year old. My only problem with it is with the type of table we have. Our table has slate tiles which is impossible to get the cushioning to stick to. We had to put the tape on the bottom edge to stick to the metal frame of our table. This enables our son to pull the cushioning edges off very easily and has become a favorite past time of his. My sister has the same product with a wood table and has had no problems with it. Like I said, it still has saved my son from many accidents and I still highly reccomend it.
I have a bedframe that is all wood and the footboard sticks out just a little too far out & ALWAYS gets me right in the knee. This was perfect for it; however, it made the bedframe look a little tacky. I chose safety over looks :-)
I would have given it a 5 star rating if it stuck better to my table. We've had to use painters tape to keep it in place. It has eliminated the bumps and bruises my little one was getting which is the main reason for getting it.
First, no problems with ordering-delivery; Walmart did good job. The quality of the product is also good and deserve 4-5 stars. But I put only 3 starts because we actually got too little for the money. WE paid $20 and received 4 corners and a short piece of soft protective rail. Even for our small one-bedroom apartment is not enough, so looks like we need to buy extra one or two boxes. You need to protect a diner table, office-computer table, fireplace and some other things. I believe the manufacturer (Lionheart) should put in the box minimum twice more for the same money - it's a cheap plastic thing, easy to produce and deliver. Looks to me like a very overpriced product.
i can recommend this to those have wood tables, this aint not good for glass table just like mine, but at least still it will be safe with my daughter that would matter to me, i was just disappointed when i got it, because i found it has a marked of a shoes which i mean somebody step on it and its hard to remove anymore it really showed the mark on the top of the table.
Tape that comes with the bumper strip is crap - doesn't stick for long at all. Foam bumper is good quality but they need to provide better 2 sided tape. I bought tape used for window seal kits & it works great!!
