Perfect for mom. Portable and easy to use
I really love this device. It's soo handy and it is very accyrate. It wouldn't be too useful as your only meter since it only holds 50 readings before needing to be downloaded. Some Diabetics need to monitor their Glucose 3 or 4 times s day.. I do love being able to take this to work and on vacations. Much smaller than my other monitor. I've noticed that the only errors i get are when the strip isnt pushed in completly, there isn't enough blood to fill the area, or i've taken too long to get a sample. The test strips shouldn't sit in the open air for too long or they become bad.
It's really fast and accurate.
I've been using these for a couple of years now, with no real problems. Sometimes the meter might not come on, but if I remove and reinsert the strip, it works fine. So much more affordable than other testing kits, which makes it a lot easier on my wallet to test my blood sugar more often.
It works great for me. Recently my Medicare won't pay for strips so I'll buy these instead. Wish they were available at all stores but one where I live.

I'm a first time user and found the instructions to be lacking. There were no directions on how to use the lancet. I bought this to be proactive with my health not on the recommendation of a Doctor. It would be perfect if they had a video (YouTube) to help us newbies out. Hopefully I'll figure this thing out.
i like the convenience factor, however i feel like this meter always has my BG a bit high as compared to my regular meter. Perhaps it's just this unit though, to be fair.
This thing often shows errors and I have no idea why. This has never occured with other testers I've used
I purchased this meter to test for gestational diabetes. However, after a week of high readings, I got an extremely high reading for a meal that shouldn't have triggered one. Re-tested on a new finger within a minute and new result was 25 points lower. Then tested it against the lab and it was 18 points higher. I definitely do not trust any of the numbers I got while using this meter and would not recommend it.
