The first thing I noticed about this flat iron was the cord. It's not just a plastic cord, it has a cloth-like material covering it. The second thing I noticed was the swivel, both work together to keep the cord untangled better than any other flat iron I've used. This flat iron is sleek and stylish looking, and yes, it works! This is a great flat iron. It came in a nice box that mentioned all its great features. My first impression is it looked sleek and durable. I love how long the cord is because it allows me to move more freely while doing my hair. My favorite feature was how quick it warmed up. It took only 15 seconds for it to reach the hottest setting of 410. I loved how the temperature displayed on the iron digitally and you can change it to the setting that works for you. Now down to the good stuff. I have thick wavy hair. Do I used this iron and it straightened my hair so great! It seemed to give it a nice shine which I loved. I love this straightener! I have 3 and also live with 2 teens! I have frizzy curly hair and HATE how my old ones pull my hair. This one heats up SO quick and DOESN'T pull my hair! Some parts don't get completely straight no matter what I do but I think I just need something physically bigger and maybe some product. It would be perfect for anyone with what I consider normal hair.

Remington has such a good name that I was expecting a sleek flat iron that worked well. It is attractive and heats well. But it did pull/catch my hair and didn't glide over it the way it should. I had to return.
