I had bought 2 of these for under $20 2 1/2 years ago. They were for my twins rooms. I wasn't sure how good it was going to be due to the low price. Well now after 2 yrs and now two 6 yr olds it is still holding up just as good as the day I got them. Matches room furniture almost perfect. Now I plan on getting the 5 shelf. It is great that this has not been discontinued and I can match it up with the larger one.
I selected this bookcase for my young daughters' room. It was so simple to put together, it took a total of maybe 20 minutes. It works great and goes with the decor in the room. I could not position the shelves in a way that would fit regular sized books on each shelf. I made room for the larger books on the bottom, regular books in the middle and the top shelf is some what tight. All in all the bookcase is sturdy and we use the top as a display for various collections the girls gather.
I have a small home office furnished with an oak desk and lateral file. I needed a bookshelf, but the space available was limited. This product was exactly what I wanted. It fit the space perfectly, and looks great.
I ordered this bookcase and have been very pleased. It was easy to assemble, looks great and even though a couple panels were cracked when I received it - I called the 800 # and quickly received replacements directly from Sauder. I have since ordered a second one to stack on the top of the 1st and it looks great. I wholeheartedly recommend this product.
I'm not entirely satisfied with this product; it's a bit shorter than I expected and the shelves (even if adjusted) are too deep and spaced too close together. If you put small stuff on the shelves, like books or DVDs, you'll have to bend over or lie down on the floor in order to see them. But other than that, it's a great value for the price: very sturdy, laughably easy to assemble, and looks decent enough.
This product is great considering the price. It is great if used for light storage like children's toys or books. We however had trouble because the shelves were damaged upon delivery so we had to return the shelves until we got one that was fully intacted.
Well, at first I was not happy with this product because I could not put it together. The bottom piece was too big and wouldn't fit, so I had to wait to get a replacement part sent in the mail. It was very easy to order the replacement piece, with absolutely no expense to me. I did have to put up with a half put together bookshelf in my way for a few days, but once the part came it was very easy to finish putting together and serves its purpose wonderfully.
We all know this product is cheap compared to any other bookcases in the market. It surely looks very attractive on the picture. The package also does look very good. BUT don't let them fool you. I bought one, brought it home. When I opened it, two of the pieces were broken although not too bad. I continued assembling it, it's just a very poor quality product. It's really unusable. I want to return it but it's just too much trouble to put it to the box, go back to Walmart and stand in line. So, be prepared to lose your $20 when you buy this. I don't recommend it.
My husband is a contractor and said this is the worst design he has ever seen in his life. He could barely put this thing together. It has been well over an hour and it is still not put together. We bought two (oh no) and are thinking of returning them. Do NOT buy this, you will regret it!
I had this delivered to my home and I did not even get to assemble it because It have huge cracks on both side and I had to return it. I was even more upset because no surrounding wal mart had the item. Very disappointed
