Product arrived VERY promptly. Be sure to have someone strong enough to get it inside if you cannot convince delivery company to carry inside, as it is all in one very long, very heavy package. Packaging was not perfect, but damage during shipping was not noticeable once assembled. Assembly instructions were good, and assembly was not too difficult. Considering the price, the product looks quite nice - sufficient for a bookshelf in an average office.
I am extremely pleased with this bookcase - it didn't take long at all to put it together, it easily holds all of the books I need it to hold, it's sturdy, and it looks great. The instructions are even easy to follow, which is a nice change! It did arrive with a cracked piece, but Sauder's website made it VERY easy to get a replacement part at no cost, which arrived within 5 days. I like the arched top and bottom on the bookcase, it adds a little flair and goes well with the rest of my furniture. I would definitely recommend this product.
this was a really nice bookshelf.... It was a bit darker than in the pic but still it was really much nicer than I expected....very sturdy too
purchased the mission style fruit wood 6 drawer dresser several years ago and was so thankful to find the matching library bookcase still available to add to our first purchase. It looks great, matches perfectly - only dissapointment is that the backing to the bookcase is a tri-fold piece and you can see the fold marks at the back of the shelves - I would have preferred a one piece system for the backing section. Please continue to carry this line - we will be looking to purchase the matching desk soon!
Nice appearance except for back panel which cheapens the overall appearance. However, creative positioning of books can overcome this flaw. Easy to assemble.
Were a little hard to put together some redrilling of holes was required. Bought 5 at on time and some shelves had rails and some did not.
We bought three of these for my home office. Their weight limits per shelf, NOT explained in product descriptions, are apparently not intended for bookshelf use - it's about 30 pounds per shelf, if that. We had several broken/damaged pieces in each box, and had to request replacements from the manufacturer - at least those were shipped relatively promptly. Assembly method and instructions were absurd. If you are buying these to actually store books in, find something sturdier.
