I ordered the Shark Vertex off their infomercial. I own my own pet sitting business and have at least 4 or 5 dogs at my house at all times. I was skeptical at first but WOW was I amazed!!!! I have never had a vacuum this good. I love the sealed system and ease of use. Super light. Came with a ton of attachments and a free steam mop. It came right away and I compared it to our Eureka which I thought was really good. Picks up even the smallest of debris. Vacuumed beforehand with my old vacuum and it immediately picked up a full canister of hair and dirt. Wish I would have ordered it a lot sooner. You absolutely should order this vacuum. Made my cleaning up an absolute breeze! My allergies are much better too.
We already had a Shark Navigator (NV650) that's several years old and still working well but figured that it was time for an upgrade. The Vertex is an upgrade in several ways, first the increased suction, then the number of available attachments. We ordered the pet attachment kit featuring a spinning furniture roller that does a nice job of removing pet hair from sofas etc. and other functional extensions that can be seen on this web site and our included photo. The lift-away canister on both models improves mobility over fixed canister models because the weight of it doesn't have to be moved back and forth when cleaning floors. Some people may not like the idea of both hands being occupied when vacuuming so you can leave it attached. Everything clicks together on this machine - it's well designed. Foam filters are washable and there is no separate replaceable HEPA filter on the Vertex like on the lower front of the Navigator, the Vertex HEPA filter is under its foam dust filter in photo. For some reason the Vertex foam filter doesn't soil as quickly as the foam filter in our Navigator . It seems that the improved design of the canister contains the dust better without passing as much of it to the filter. The soft roller on the Vertex cleans hard floors better than the Navigator's brush roller that's intended for carpet. Since we don't have any carpet this is a big plus, but I'm not saying that the Vertex is only for use on hard floors. The L.E.D. lights on the roller housing are great for illuminating dust and pet hair on hard floors providing that the floor isn't a light color. I recommend this vacuum as it simplifies floor cleaning and the cord is long enough to vacuum our 1638 sq. ft. home when we plug it in the hallway.
I LOVE this vacuum sooo much!!! It has so much power and suction. I also love how everything detaches from itself, makes it way easier to clean under the beds and furniture. I also love all the attachments that came with it and I got a free steam mop.
Best vac i've ever owned. Gets so much stuff up that I can't even see on top of the dirt and husky fur flying around everyday! It moves nicely and only got clogged by a sock once. Easy to empty. Love all the attachments. Short vac wand and long wand. The hose is a little tight for reaching up high. Maybe it'll loosen up?? The steam mop is nice too. Sanitizes and also fantastic on the ground in dirt in the wood floor cracks.
As we get older, it's nice to have machines take over more of the work. The Shark Vertex really comes through. For example, switch from hard floor to carpet to shag by moving one switch. And being able to slide off the canister so that the entire vacuum head (not just an attachment) can fit under most furniture saves tons of effort. Build quality seems excellent, and we're still learning about some of the attachments.
Extremely strong motor and suction. I have owned 3 in 20 years and this is the Best shark vacume yet. I do wish that attached hose would be longer and more flexable

Its kinda embarrassing how much dirt and hair i got off the couch. I have two big dogs one being a husky so I go through alot of vaccums. I really like the brushroll instead of the bristles. I don't have to worry about hair getting wrapped around and trying to get it off. It has incredible suction and works well on hardwood and carpet with an adjustable button. The lift away canister is convenient for reaching under furniture and heavier objects. Our house is kinda dark so the light on the front is really nice so I can see better whats on the floor. I even noticed a bump guard on the front in case you hit something too hard it won't scratch it. This vacuum is top of the line and a must in my house. Its durable and the features are well thought out to make vacuuming easier and more effective. Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a high quality vaccum made to last.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So many features! The first thing I noticed about it was how sharp it looked; my wife liked the touches of rose gold. After easily putting it together, we immediately used it. Despite vacuuming with our old Bissel earlier in the day, the vacuum canister filled up about 1/4 of the way (see pic). The attachments all fit onboard. I especially like the thin wand. It fit in the window tracks. We have 3 cats, 1 big dog and my wife has long hair. We have a combo of hardwood floors and area rugs, so it's a constant battle of hair and dust bunnies. this vacuum picked up so much dirt and hair I couldn't believe we vacuumed earlier that day. The vacuum has buttons on the handle that allows for quick change between hard flooring, lower pile rigs and deep Pile settings. When I used the deep Pile setting accidentally on the hardwood floors, I could feel the self propelling action pulling the vacuum with some pretty substantial power. The vacuum has modular sections allowing for various configurations. The suction power is another area of excellence. It was so powerful that I worried my plants would get sucked up when I used the wand feature to clean window tracks. Highly recommended!

When vacuuming, it even pulls itself forward from the amount of suction! when I vacuum it warm I clean rugs, I was shocked at how much additional hair and debris it was able to collect. I will tell everyone I know to get this vacuum cleaner!
