Simplicity Smart Touch Hearing Aid Left Ear

I have some high frequency loss in my left ear. The doctor says for me a hearing aid is optional, but could be helpful. In the past I played the TV at half volume and often asked my wife, what did she say? Now I play the TV at one quarter volume and once in a while my wife says what did she say? The best part is I actually know what was said and can tell my wife. I use the smart touch on memory one most of the time and only occasionally on memory two. Memory one and two seem to eliminate background noise well, with two providing more amplification. Memories three and four seem to be unfiltered with regard to background noise, with four providing more amplification than three. This is useful for music when you don't want to miss a thing. I use just one smart touch in my left ear. People are unaware that I am wearing it. This product seems to perform as promised. I have no experience with any other hearing aid.
I received my new Simplicity Smart Touch yesterday and immediately followed the instructions on how to install it in my left ear, adjusted the the smart touch to level two and wore the hearing aid for the next eight hours. My hearing was improved beyond what was expected and I didn't realize I was wearing a hearing aid. The hearing in the left ear is now balanced with the right ear that has no hearing aid. The money saved is amazing. Highly recommend.
I am a first time user of a hearing aid. My wife has been bugging me for several years to get one. I came across the Simplicity online ater being very skeptical about the $5,000 type hearing aids that I recall my parents buying and then not using. The price was reasonably low to categorize it as worth a try. I did and my only regret is I did not buy one sooner. I have it for three weeks and I am hearing things I forgot had sound. I am so pleased I ordered one for my other ear as I know sometime in the future I will need it. I strongly reccommend this product to anyone with hearing impairement. It is simple to use, requires no adjustments by an audiologist and it is extremely comfortable. This hearing aid proves to me one does not have spend a fortune to be able to hear almost as good as before my hearing started to deteriorate. Everyone in my home is also pleased as now the TV and radio are once again set to normal volume levels and not blasting.
I ordered this product from the Walmart web site. It was very easy to order. It was a far cry in PRICE from the one the doctor had suggested I purchase. If it wasn't for Walmart I would have gone without the hearing aid. It is very east to insert it in the ear. You can do it without looking. I am so pleased I am going to order the one for my right ear. It is suggested you purchase both at the same time if you need it. Thanks Again - Walmart
Although I never wore a hearing aid before, I easily put this Simpliciy "Smart Touch" on. It worked immediately and was so comfortable, I forgot I had it on! The audiologist tried to sell me a $3400 unit. This is of equal quality and it's virtually invisible when I wear it!
I purchased one for my right ear and it worked well enough that I got one for my left ear. My hearing improved quite a bit. Although they are not perfect, I am very pleased with the results.
This device seems to work pretty well. It's my first hearing aid. I was told by the place I was going to get one at that my health plan offer of $500 was a "good start" because hearing aids started at $950. So I get this one with no co-pay. I suspect it is as good as the $1000 ones. It is easy to use and I am learning how to pop it in and out. I can hear things I didn't hear before, like my shoes scraping on the rug. I was at a 2 hour meeting which I wouldn't even have gone to because i usually can't hear more than one word out of ten. i could not only hear about 98% of what the (ampified) speaker was saying, I could also hear members of the audience when they asked questions. So I say -- go for it.
After a day of wearing these the place where the plastic rests inside the ear was sore. It is too rigid. Also at the lowest amplification my hearing is improved but sounds are a little tinny. At higher amplifications I get feedback. I might have kept them despite the sound quality, because my hearing was definitely improved, but the discomfort made that impossible.
I am going to return this product as it was not at all useful in correcting my hearing problem.
