[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So many of my jeans and shorts rip out well before I'm ready to let them go. My wife complains when I wear those outside working on the yard or my car, but they fit so comfy! The Singer M2100 is a simple machine that thread well (no instruction reading required...follow the numbers), and the bobbin is easy to fill except for my fat fingers that always struggle to get the thread through the tiny bobbin hole. Within minutes I had the rip down the leg of my favorite jeans stitched up so I can look presentable again while doing yard work. The machine did not come with a manual, so I had to search online. If you do this make sure that you only go to the Singer site, because I did not at first and got a virus from another website hawking the manual. Also, the presser foot handle is not on the back of the machine, but underneath in the hole of the machine body, and I keep forgetting to find it.

It handles seams and repairs easily and the foot pedal is a dream. The written instructions that came with it were a little intimidating at first for her. But there are online tutorials that she watched and got comfortable with the machine quickly after that. She loves this little machine and is becoming a good sewer fast. This is a good machine for beginners.

I love the built in stitch features. This is my second sewing machine of this brand. The first lasted about ten years. I do a lot of quilting and sewing, best machine I have so far.
I like the machine a lot. It make very high quality even stitches. Although I have had the bobbin stop working I just had to simply take out the bobbin and then put it back and then worked as good as new. The colors are slightly different than what was on the box.

This is a basic sewing machine and does not have all the bells and whistles but it is great for a beginner like my daughter who has been learning to sew. I like that it is lightweight and portable so she can easily take it with her. It was easy to thread as well as to thread bobbins. It has built in stitches to choose from that can easily be changed with the dial. It comes with accessories like bobbins, needles and more. You can remove the storage compartment to give you access to the free arm. It has a bright light so you can easily see what you are stitching. It also comes with a dust cover to keep on it when not using.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the Singer M2100 Mechanical Sewing Machine for a few weeks now and am thinking of new projects to do with it every day. I am just beginning to learn to sew and wanted something I could use to do small, basic things like hem pants and fix small rips in my kids clothing. This machine seems to fit the bill as it's not so complicated that it overwhelms me and the instructions were well labeled. It has a nice compact size that I can leave out on my dining room table as I'm in between projects. I have gotten jammed a few times while I've been using it but I think that has to do with my lack of skill more than the machine. I would suggest other new comers to sewing also try a model like this from Singer.
This machine arrived used with thread inside. Reached out to costumer service and they were very not helpful.
I can't say anything about the machine because the seller didn't send it to me, although in the application he noted that he had sent it, as a result, I waited in vain for a week before I was approved for a refund.
