This bundle is a great value! Subtract the 2 games, the Dualshock 3 controller and the 8gb memory card and you are getting a PS TV for about 62 dollars. If you want to play your PS4 from a tv in another room, I recommend running network cable. I was able to remote play with Wifi, but there was some glitching. Overall A+ on a cabled network!
If you know what you are going to use it for, it works great: PS4 Remote Play? Wire your connection. PS Vita on big screen? Great, and if you already have a Vita and a PS Plus account even sweeter (as you get free games and any game that does not support PS TV will play on your Vita). Runs low cost PS Classics through the PS Network, and even PSP games. Overall a nice unobtrusive product, a good companion for a second TV. The best feature here is the value, specially at rebate price, and unbeatable if you already have a PS3 or PS Vita: $40 for a controller, $25 for an 8gb card that you can use on your Vita, $ 19 for a Lego game, $15 for a Sly Cooper game, an HDMI cable, and free shipping, and you practically have the PS TV console for free. Can't beat that!
The first thing you'd notice about the PS TV is how tiny it is. It's smaller than any other hand held console and streaming device; much smaller than any Sony game system ever made. It's even smaller than a pack of cigarettes. This is the PS Vita without its screens, controllers, cameras, and other elements. And yet , it is still a fully functional gaming system. You can still play some Vita games, PS One games PS Minis and classics (games that require use of cameras, touch sensitivity, and etc. won't work at all). You can use some apps on it (my Crunchyroll app works rather nicely), stream games from Playstation Now, and buy games from the Playstation Store (be sure to have an account with Sony Entertainment Network to make these purchases so). The bundle I purchased is the cheaper and better buy. Two games, a controller, the unit and a memory card bought separately would set you back about $200 or more ( especially if you want to get a larger memory card). So get this bundle if you like the idea of getting more and paying less.
You should buy this because it is a wireless display for your PlayStation four or can be used as a wireless display PlayStation for assessor he once you updated you can go online browse the Internet and you can also use a new dual shock for controller which is a PlayStation controller
This worked great out of the box. Almost too good to be true! The price is incredible for the system, controller, 2 really fun games and all the cables needed. I know there aren't a ton of games for PS Vita, but all the prior mobile Playstation systems have games playable on PS TV for a fair price on the PS Store site. I bought & downloaded an old Harvest Moon game (Hero of Leaf Valley) and it runs well and looks good even on my 32" HDTV. If you want a portable system to hook to a TV wherever you go (because you hate tiny screens) or are looking for an introductory console-like system, you can't go wrong for $69 !!
So I bought this the day it launched and here I am years later finally writing a review despite it being pulled from shelves. This has brought so man good times I simply had to write my first review. I bought this while it was still $129 and feel every penny was well spent. I knew about the limits of the PSTV going into it being an avid gamer and Sony enthusiast. Despite the limits put in place due to the lack of camera and touch interface the system has held it's own. With being a PS+ member for years the 8gb card was full day one and years after launch I have several 64gb cards full of Vita PSP and PS1 games I enjoy not to mention being able to play my PS4 in another room or away from home with this. Then add a controller two amazing games and a memory card you simply can't go wrong.
Not a bad little machine. I knew what I was getting when I bought it so the PSTV did meet my expectations. The lack of Netflix is a bummer, but at least Hulu works well enough.
Unit did not work. Called and talked to Sony customer service. Was disgusted with Sony by the end of the conversation so the unit was returned back to Walmart
