Since my bout with west Nile meningitis in 2012, I've been sleeping on a couch on my first floor mainly because of difficulty walking and climbing stairs. In March of this year I suffered a stroke compounded by a second stroke in April. The strokes affected my left side and created another issue. I could no longer lift myself to a sitting position and even when I could, I had no support to lift myself to a standing position. EZ Stand N Go was the perfect solution. I can now sleep on my couch; raise myself to a sitting position and from that to a standing position. This product has given me back my independence and gives me a sense of security.
Excellent product. We are using it on a Lazy boy rocker recliner with the fixed cushion style of seat. It is everything I had hoped for. All the functions of the recliner still work perfectly with it installed. Packaging was incredible, instructions are straightforward, delivery communications were top notch, and it is good value for the money. Glad to have it ...highly recommend...Thanks.
Extremely sturdy very glad I got this just hope I can lift leg over the handle to lay down on sofa after surgery. Thought about using it on the recliner but I hooked an old dog leash under recliner to pull myself up to edge so I used this for sofa. If I could have afforded another I would have because I am having more than one surgery.
This is one of the best purchases I've made. I've been having a lot of hip issues, and it is hard for me to go to a standing position from a sitting position. This item gives me the support I need. I highly recommend it. Easy to put together and adjustable for any height.
Easy to assemble and set up. Wouldn't work on recliner as the cushion wasn't removable but set up easily on couch.
This will be very helpful as soon as I get it adjusted for the recliner.
My husband has Parkinson's Disease and I bought this so he could get up from his easy chair (a recliner). The concept is great. The instructions were very good, so I was confident before I bought it that I could use it on this particular chair. However, it is just not working for him, he is still not able to get up from this chair without assistance. Oh well, it was a good thing to try.
We purchased this product for our 87 year old mother who could not stand up from the couch without assistance. On the first attempt, she was able to stand by herself! Wish it was a little more attractive looking. I think if it came in a lighter color it would blend better with beige furniture but the most important thing is it works for her. Simple assembly.
My 84 year old mom was finding it more difficult to get out of her favourite TV-watching chair. Our local occupational therapy agency did not have any aids that seemed suitable. We were pleased to find this one online. Although the frame is too big for the chair (the chair is not deep or wide enough to secure the base tubes to the support assemblies with the bolts/nuts) it was easy to assemble. It certainly helps her rise from a seated position. I would only recommend the manufacturer drill additional holes along the base tubes to accommodate smaller chairs.
We decided to keep the stander although it doesn't fit our chair as great as we would like. I want to praise the Stander company for their life enhancing products. A big part of the fit depends on if your chair has a removable pillow. His doesn't so we had to rig it up to work. The chair is a lazy boy recliner but luckily he never reclines.
