I'm so glad I bought this. Have a tall toddler and this prevents any accidents. Not an excuse to leave child unsupervised however, but a big help. Easy to install and clean.
Exactly how it looks online. Was challenging to install but worth it. I am very satisfied with this purchase and feel safer cooking around my toddler!
I am very pleased with the stove guard. I run a child care business in my home. I have gas burners on my stove top. Though I don't allow children in the kitchen when cooking, the burners are very hot after use. This stove guard is great for keeping little fingers from touching hot burners that may not have thoroughly cooled after use and children are about. So this gives me peace-of-mind. They are easy to install and they stay put. I followed the instructions for assembly plus after cleaning the surface where the attachments are to be placed on my stove, I used rubbing alcohol on the stove surface to ensure that no greasy film remained. I then attached the provided tape to stove surface and attachments. I warmed the stove as instructed for adherence and left them on overnight. I attached the stove guard accordingly the next day. On the weekends and days I do not have children, I simply remove the stove guard and cook without it. Very easy to remove and replace. I'm very satisfied with this product and highly recommend it for families, grandparents and/or in-home child care providers. Thanks Walmart for providing a great solution for safety and accident prevention!!!
I cleaned my stove thoroughly before attempting to adhere it to my stove. I have had no problems with it in spite of the fact that others shared that the adhesive didn't stick for them. We have a 3 1/2 year old autistic child who needed this reminder to stay away from the burners. She has pulled on it and it has stayed secure. She finally has decided it is part of the stove and shows no interest. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to others or to buy another one if need be.
We have had this guard now for months. Reason we got it is to protect our child. I really like that its moveable to the size of your oven. It comes with adhesives. After a few months the adhesive did start to melt so we had to replace, but this is on your stove that heats up. I cook a lot and bake a lot so it held up well and after applying new set of adhesive its been great since. I didnt expect it to start forever it is a hot stove but Im happy it holds up and does what I bought it for. Easy to clean as well! Buying for both grandparents.
I bought this for our large Rottweiler puppy since he started jumping up on counters. I was afraid he would burn his paws. But this stove guard took my worries away. I thought he would be able to pull it down or push it out of the way but so far he has respected the guard
It did the job for maybe a month. But buyer beware! If you cook anything with a little grease - example: we made breakfast and my husband cooked us a few strips of bacon and when I went to go clean things up this popped off and wouldn't stick back on. Not a huge deal just a pain to replace the sticky things that help hold this up. It does the job and this is my only complaint!
HORRBILE PRODUCT DOES NOT ADHERE TO STOVE EVEN WITH SUPER GLUE OR GORILLA GLUE
This item didn't hold up on stove. As soon as it heated up the sticky adhesive loss ended and it fell off. Wish I could get my money back but don't have box or recipte for it.
I was very excited to see this product online for it was the perfect solution I was looking to keep my 18 mth old toddler safe; however, on receiving the item, I noticed that the fixing of the unit onto the stove was only by means of a sticky tape, which can easily come off with a slight pull. I'm therefore returning this product, thanks
