I had a T-Fal that I loved once before. My last iron was a Rowenta. It was expensive, heavy and didn't steam well, even though it was highly rated. This one is so way better and I love the steam and cleaning features.
I purchased this iron for my daughter, she loves it! the plate on it is smooth, and glides easily over the material to be ironed. The extra length on the cord prevents tangling from occurring. The price is certainly reasonable, please, don't hesitate to purchase this item, it is really nice.
As an ex-Rowenta owner I was a bit skeptical buying a less costly iron for my weekly serious ironing. It has proved to actually be a superior iron and weighs less. It is a great deal!
I HAVE HAD THIS IRON LESS THAN 9 MONTHS AND HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH IT FROM THE BEGINNING. I COULD BE IN THE MIDDLE OF IRONING CLOTHING AND IF IT WAS NOT HEATED ENOUGH, IT WOULD START TO SPURT OUT WATER AND SUCH ONTO THE CLOTHING LEAVING WHITE MARKS ALL OVER. TODAY IT FINALLY BID FAREWELL AND SO MUCH THE BETTER. WILL DEFINITELY NOT BUY ANOTHER. I DID LIKE THE DESIGN BUT IT DID NOT HOLD UP WELL.
