I like that the buzzer rings then turns off by itself. In a household with a baby, it is very inconvenient to have a buzzer yelling until you get there to turn it off manually.
It is what I wanted and works well so I am happy with it. I think it is well made.
Even though this is a mechanical timer, it woks great. I have recently gone thru 3 computer-type timers and were not loud enough, going thru batteries quickly, or did not work when I receive it. This one does not have any of those problems. Just remember to turn it to at least 15 minutes and then set it to get the best sound and length of the bell. Love it!!!
Easy, sturdy and loud ring. The base gives it a good footing.
In order for this timer to actually ring when the time expires, you need to first crank the dial all the way around to 60 and then dial it back to the desired time setting. Also, the ringer is not very loud. If I had known these things beforehand, I would not have bought it.
The ring was short and not too loud. Warranty was only one year. The slant of the timer was such that the front of it was not visible sitting on top of my stove. Silver didn't go with my white stove. Returned this and went with a $3.00 white timer under Walmart's brand which came with a 10 year warranty, sold in the retail store.
This product did not work since the day it arrived. The ringer rang if I turned the dial back to zero manually but the timer itself never worked and got stuck on whatever number I left it on - no ticking, no countdown. So I returned it and got my money back.
You would think a timer is a timer, how could you go wrong? This thing is off by 2-4 minutes every time it rings. And when it rings, it's REALLY loud, and goes for at least one full minute. It's so annoying! It went right into the garbage.
I wanted a small analogue timer for cooking--not a complicated-to-set digital. I had a "time" getting it tp move. I could hear a faint ticking, but there was no advancing movement in the indicator hand. When I turned it to zero, it did ring--not loud, not long. Let's be fair: it was only ten dollars and change. And it might suit someone. I ordered one of those ten plus clocks with the two bells on top hoping that will do the trick else I'll have to raise the quality or just forget the timer.
Dead on arrival. this is a second item has the same issue on different model but same manufacturer
