Tums Assorted Fruit definitely works quickly on heartburn. The flavors do taste like the fruit instead of being chalky. They don't leave an aftertaste either as some others did that I've tried previously. This is a must have at all times in my house since some people can't handle my spicy cooking. I have been taking regular Tums for a long time but I am excited to see Tums in an Ultra Strength formula and with assorted fruit flavors too. I have been using these new Tums for a few weeks and I really like that that they work fast on my heartburn and indigestion and the fruit flavor makes them taste really good too. TUMS Ultra Strength assorted fruit antacids work the fastest out of all the antacids I have ever tried. The fruit flavors help the chalky texture become pleasant. I get heartburn from spicy/hot foods like wings. TUMS give me the confidence to eat them knowing it will prevent heartburn. I find them chalky, a gritty chew but not as bad as other brands or as chalky as they used to be. The fruit flavors are mild, pleasant. It works fast. It lasts a long time. They are very portable. I eat healthily 98% of the time, so when I indulge it can hit me pretty hard. Tums Ultra Strength 1000 comes in really handy at times like these! Unlike other antacids I have tried, Tums makes me feel better almost immediately. And the taste is pleasantly fruity, not chalky or medicinal, so it's very easy to chew. These are not only effective, but they taste great. The extra strength definitely works well. The only thing is it's hard when we have company over (our 1 friend is allergic to fruit) so he can't have these when he needs them. Maybe an option that is not fruit flavored?
I bought a bottle of Tums Ultra Tropical Flavor and found the texture to be slightly different than what I had used before. This product dissolved more quickly and I actually preferred it over what I had used before. Both products work equally well but I'm hoping to find more of the quickly dissolving bottle. I've attached a picture of both bottles. The one I'm looking for more of has a "gsk" logo on the bottle and an orange in the place of a strawberry on the label. Any suggestions on what I've stumbled upon and how to find more?
My acid reflux med that I take has not been enough relief for me lately. I bought the Tums to use during the day if I get indigestion and it has helped a great deal.
