Great product! Packs and travels well. Holds charges when not being used. Generally one of the cells will recharge my cell phone two times before having to recharge it. You can either keep the second cell for yourself or let someone else borrow one to use.
I bought 4 of these chargers primarily for my Smart Phone because I often travel in remote wilderness areas by canoe where I am away from AC or DC power sources for days at a time. These Uniden chargers are reliable, small and lightweight, and I can use them to recharge or operate my phone (or other devices) up to about nine hours each, which is more time than I have ever needed on a trip. At an average of about $5 each it would be difficult to find a comparable value in some other product. I am thoroughly satisfied with this produce in terms of quality, reliability, convenience, size and price.
And for $5 each you can't go wrong. However I got this for my new Amazon Fire Phone. Worked in every normal Android phone I tried it in, but not the Fire Phone, which goes through its internal (non removable) battery in hours. Not sure what the problem is.
I get get my iPhone from dead to 60% on one of these. My husband uses his to stream music for an additional 4 hours with one of these. My only complaint is they take a couple hours to charge back up all the way. Overall, they're a great size and the price certainly can't be beat. Are there better out there? Of course, but you'll pay triple for 2.
These are useful to have to provide some on the go power while travelling to smartphones. Sometimes you can't find a charge outlet or have the time to charge your phone in an airport and with these you can charge it up while on the plane. Of the two I received one of the LED's did not work to indicate when the battery was charged. It charged though just didn't indicate it was charged.
For the first day that I got this, both of the chargers worked. However, by day two, one stopped charging and never worked again, and the other is prone to overheating. I can't even leave it in my pocket when it is plugged in because it gets so hot. It does at least charge my iPhone 6 though
The light never turns blue, as per the insert, but goes from flashing red to solid red (perhaps there was a typo or error in the book and it's really supposed to be solid red instead of blue?). At the time of this review, the internet has no answers for me. It charges my small Kyrocera phone quite nicely, however it does not actually charge my 4th gen iPod, it merely does this odd thing where the iPod runs off of the energy from the Uniden rather than the battery. Not sure if this is because the output on the battery pack isn't high enough or something, but still a nice product to have.
Major Fail. Tested Power bank on three phones and note 2 pads (Galaxy S5, HTC Desire, iPhone 4, note 10 and Galaxy Note Pro). The Uniden Power bank failed to charge any of the phones passed 30%, with the average max charge being 20%. The Note pads would only charge up to 18%.
The item did not work properly. When it was recharging the red light was supposed to turn blue to indicate it fully recharged. The recharge time was 5 hours or less. I waited for 24 hours. I gave up an unplugged it and tried to recharge my phone, it only recharged about 50% before it went completely dead. The same happened with the other charger from the box (they come in 2 per pack). I do not recommend buying this item.
Bought for my wife because she travels a lot for work. Within the first charge the indicator lights didn't match the description in neither color or function. During the first charge to my phone I removed the wire only for it to nearly disintegrate in my hand. The next day the same thing happened to the second wire plug. Instead of complaining I will leave say this: BUY A HIGHER QUALITY BACKUP BATTERY BACKUP UNIT.
