The phone is great so far. The answering machine is why I bought this phone and I'm happy as of now. It was worth the money.
I'd like with Walmart to stay.Let you know ahead of time when your products will be in and when they bring have shipped it out.And when they let who ever bring it there was on time.They put it in the right place where they sit is gonna have it.I like deals with Walmart.It's pretty good still thank you
Love this phone. I had this same phone for 5 years before the buttons started sticking. Loved it so much I just bought it again to replace the old one.
I like this phone it's one and has answering system just wish it had speaker to be able to talk hands free! Otherwise I'm happy with my purchase.
Overall seems good, it's the same kind of phone that we have used for years. Hope it lasts as long as the old one. Only complaint is that the handset doesn't always start charging in the cradle even though it looks like it is setting properly. So I just give it a little wiggle until I see the charging indicator start. Doesn't happen every time, just sometimes.
The find handset function is poorly designed: the base station containing the button "Find handset" beeps when you push that button. Why does it beep at all? It isn't lost since you just pushed its button! It beeps louder than the phone itself, so that if the phone is in the same room the base station's beeping will make the phone impossible to find even if it isn't upside down under the chair.. The handset has no speakerphone built in and the volume is low. I bought it because of immediate need and was dismayed that it was so "new and improved" compared to other phones just like it (same make, same size, same price range (cheapest available) that I have managed to destroy by leaving them out in the rain, etc. The voice mail works fine and the base station speaker is plenty loud so if you need a phone on your office desk that stays on that desk it is a good value.
the phone numbers that come up in the display window are extremely difficult to see we cannot find the speaker button on the phone and the instructions are such a small print you need a magnifying glass to read them. Very disappointed in this phone thought it was going to be better than this.
I got this phone for my parents to use as their home phone. I do have to admit that I was highly disappointed as well as completely embarrassed when my mom told me that it had been used. Nothing in the box was in plastic and was shoved In the box upside down. After still choosing to test it out we learned that their were personal messages left on the answering machine.
This phone, while economical, is a waste of money. It doesn't work for long before breaking. Mine no longer rings. Incoming calls are not received - all calls go right to my phone company virtual voicemail (which I have not set up). This happens monthly and I have to unplug everything and plug it back in to reset it. It's very nerve racking when you are trying to reach people at home when you are away and the call won't even go through. It is not my phone lines (hardwired) as this phone is the replacement for the same make/mode phone and that was behaving the same way. Spend more - get a better phone, preferably from a different company!
Model CS 6124-2 is a sorry piece of junk. You cannot answer the phone unless you have a separate phone line from the answering machine that comes with this duo. Must have 2 phone lines to use it. This is the most ridiculous answer I have ever heard!! They came as one unit, but was told by VTech that each one required a separate phone line before it would work. Would give zero rating if it was possible.
