I really am enjoying my new smoothie maker. I would definitley buy it again. The only thing that I have noticed is that I have to add a bit more liquid than I normally would to make it blend without hesitation. But that really insn't a bad thing. I love it.

Love how easy it is to use. Small so I can leave it on the counter. Great that you make it in the cup that your going to drink from. Easy to clean.

I received this as a gift. Yes at first I had issues with not adding enough liquid and the frozen fruits would not get blended very well. After trial and error I finally found the right proportions for my smoothies and it works great. Yes it is loud but for the 1-2 minutes you are blending it what difference does it make. The feature that I like best about it that the other brands don't have is that once I am finish blending my smoothie all I do is unscrew the blade attachment and screw on the top and I am ready to go. The only thing to clean is the blade atachment. How convenient and awesome is that. I love mine and will be purchasing one for my husband as he uses it every morning to make his diabetic smoothies. I love this and would recommend this product. You have to try it for yourself and see how good this product is!!!!!

I use this every day now for 2 years still going strong. You must pulse at first to get the fruit broken down then run the blender at least on medium or high for 1 to 2 minuets. I never have chunky fruit in my smoothie and I use frozen fruit, milk and honey.

We ordered our 'Back to Basics Smoothie Express Blender' from walmart.com. It showed up right on time and works quite well. We haven't been using it long enough to evaluate its durability, however it has survived the first couple weeks very well. Compare this with reviews for other smoothie brands that did not make it that far. Be sure you follow the directions: Pulse the machine 3 times then run it on low or medium for a maximum of 1.5 minutes (90 sec) with 3 minute rest periods to extend its lifetime (the plastic body insulates the mechanism and it will overheat if its ran too long).

Overall great product, not so sure I like the huge handle, but it works without issue. Only thing I wish is that it came with a 2nd Mixing jar in case you want to make more than one.

This is my first time using a personal size blender. It's sturdier and larger then I thought. I have to say it is loud. I've only made frozen fruit smoothies so far. I've had to stop and add more liquid because it wasn't moving the fruit around. Only seems to happen when blending large frozen fruit chucks. It helps to let big items like that sit out for just a little. It will make enough for two. Cute appearance.

Frozen strawberries or frozen fruits ends up suspended above blade so theywould not get blended or broken down by the blender's blade. I've tried different porportion of liquid to frozen fruits and it didn't seem to make any difference. The blending cup have to be shaken rapidly and hard by hand frequently to get the fruits down to be blend. Its quite a workout. I've only owned the blender for 2 weeks -using it once a day or once every 2 days and already a plastic piece of the blade assembly has already broken off and ended up in my smoothie. Also theres a problem with the same blade attachment unit, the bottom rubber which attaches to the motor seem to be burning already and is slightly disentigrating. The rubber is grey color but there are black sooth around it and when the attachment is washed, black sooth seem to seep out and make a mess. It happened the last few times I've used it. I have not over loaded the unit causing the rubber attachment to burn since I am only making a single serving . I usually stop the blending withing a few seconds and I use the blending in low or short pulse mode since the frozen strawberries would get stuck and were suspended above the blade of the mini blender. The design is a great design especially with the upgraded 400 watt motor but the blade assembly needs to be redesign to make the unit work. If they did that, I would love to re-purchase it but now I have to return the unit back to the store. :o(

Pretty, but not worth the cup.

I bought this blender to make 2 smoothie type drinks a day. I thought it was small enough for the office, and the cup would be an added extra. It was a little bigger than I expected, and the cup has 2 large lids. One for blending and one for drinking. It's very, very loud for its size! Even though I rarely added fruit. It was powder and almond milk. It was difficult to drink smoothies from the small drinking hole. The pretty red gripping handle fell off on the second week. I continued to use it another week. Then I started smelling rubber every time I used the blender. I checked everything: everything was seated correctly. I stopped use after I started tasting rubber. I really don't think 2 8oz smothies a day was over use.
