I received these yesterday and turned them on and wow they're great quality. my husband is already talking about ordering more. my wifi cut out but as soon has it came back on my cameras connected back to wifi with no problem. he can see everything that's going on at home while he's at work. the picture quality is immaculate!! will be hooking them up outside today.
The hardest thing about installing these surveillance cameras was going online and downloading the app. I am always skeptical when I see surveillance cameras, but these live up to what they say. They are easy to install, just download the app, set up and then mount your cameras, make sure it is in an area that has an electrical outlet, it will need to be connected; aim, download your app and follow the setup instructions. Done and Done. You can set up for alerts, it checks for movement, you can adjust the picture clarity, etc. Great product, definitely recommend for that added piece of mind.
With all the car break ins in my area I sure was glad to see this come in. This camera system is very easy to set up and use. If you have any trouble setting it up there are plenty of you tube videos with step by steps. Just remember you must be close to your modem when first setting up. Nothing was hard to do, the app walks you through the set up and I am definitely not tech savvy. I have one pointed at my car and one pointed at my front door. I do wish the power cord was longer but that is what extension cords are for and I wish that they had sound but they are still worth the price. The picture quality is very good and getting alerts on my phone is great. I also like the fact that I can set the alerts to my preferences. I have had these installed for 2 weeks and been through 2 bad thunderstorms and haven't had any issues. This is a good product at a good price and I will be adding more of these cameras.
Great makes me feel secure I know who comes and goes around my house with no problem. Wish I had bought them sooner also the design makes them almost hidden
works great! More sensitive then I thought but you can adjust it and it automatically turns from night vision to daytime. Very clear at night. Thinking about buying an extra one.
The Zmodo 720p wireless Security Camera (2 pack) box arrived with all items and tightly packed in a cushioned box. The cameras can be used indoors or outdoors. If mounting outdoors make sure there is plenty of outdoor power outlets with 120 volts. It is not recommended to use a separate power strip cord. The security camera cords are about 6' long. The security cameras don't use batteries they need to be plugged in at all times to use but the signal to view is wireless. The security cameras were installed on both corners of the back of the house. We live on a 1/2 acre residential property that sits behind a large hill with lots of wildlife. There are Coyotes, Bobcat, Red Fox, Raccoon, and Squirrels. It's a little worry some not knowing if it's a animal or person roaming throughout the backyard. These security cameras take the worry away. The security cameras placements were easy to mount. The installation pamphlet presented few difficulties with the quick start guide. The security cameras are made of hard high grade and solid material. They are encased in a weatherproof housing to protect the wiring and electronics from heat and moisture to withstand all 4 weather seasons and long term continuous usage. The security cameras have only been installed for 3 days, so far the daylight view is working very well, with great view range. The night time quality could be a lot better, it's probably because it only has a 65' of vision view but still works in low light. The cameras can be viewed at the same time or switch back and forth. Security and safety is a prime concern it's nice to know when your away your home is secure. If your working on a tight budget Zmodo security cameras don't compromise on any of the most important features of surveillance.
For the price they're awesome awesome video no monthly fee for the motion detection and you can use their cloud for up to a month before you download it I can watch live video and time you want end it does alert you when there is motion so if you're out there anyone at AC plug and play hooked up this is the way to go all you need is a laptop or a cell phone I tried them all and this is one of the best
I've only had the Zmodo HD WiFi Indoor/Outdoor Camera Kit for about two weeks. So far I have not encountered any problems that I already knew I would have because the paperwork warned me of the problem with certain types of walls. I live in a block, brick, and rebar house. The instructions make it clear that the wifi signal will not be very strong through these types of materials. It suggests contacting them to purchase additional signal boosters to improve the wifi strength. I have not done this yet so I can only use the cameras inside my home. I do plan to get the signal boosters so I can remount them outside. The setup is pretty simple once you get their app from the App Store. Make sure you know your wifi network name and password before you start to save time. It cannot be setup without this information. It did take a bit of time to get everything set up. The quick start guide was pretty easy to follow. As always it took longer than they suggest. I think this is with most all set ups. Overall I am pleased with the system. I do recommend it however I haven't had it working for long. I hope I don't run into any complications down the road.
Unfortunately, after numerous attempts, I could not get these cameras to work with my Xfinity WiFi. I tried every setup possible to no avail. The cameras themselves are very neat. They are small enough to mount in a corner without them being so noticeable. They are actually smaller than I imagined they'd be. Please note that, although they are WiFi, they have to have a power source nearby as you will have to plug them in. I downloaded the app which was quick and simple. It provides support, even a chat option. It looks pretty easy to use. I would recommend to anyone who needs an indoor camera since you have to plug them in an outlet. I'm really bummed I couldn't get them to work; most likely operator error.
I got this camera system as a upgrade to my old System that records to a DVR thinking the recordings would be safe on "the cloud" from theft if my DVR was stolen as i wouldn't have the recording to view or hand over to the police. 1st problem was it wants you to download a App on your apple or android cell phone and you can't add devices going through your PC. You can only view cameras once they are added to your account. The next problem was i could never add the camera's. After adding my router WiFi name and password, the cameras would never connect even after meeting the requirements of not having your 2.4GHz WPA/WPA2 network "hidden" and a upload speed of 2Mbps and a 4Mbps for Zmodo cloud service.The quick start guide is lacking and has 2 instructions, One for adding to a "Beam" if you have it, the other, a mobile setup so this is not PC friendly security system which was what i was hoping for, not just for viewing on my cell phone. Support was terrible on Zmodo site.Live chat was a endless loop of logging on and the phone number is not a 800. After several hours on 2 weekends, i gave up.
