VTech - Cordless Phone with Caller ID/Call Waiting - Silver

This was a replacement for a non-working unit of the same model/manufacturer. I set it up and it works great. All I need it to do is last as long as the previous one.

At this time , I can say so far , so good since I only recently purchased it. However , I can and will say that VTech is my favorite of all the phones that I have ever purchased.

Being blind this phone has an easy setup and operations. Works great for me that I bought 3 more to place around my home. Now all my home phones have the same operations and handsets have the same feel in my hands.

I can't speak to the extra features and capabilities, as my only need in getting it was basic dialing in and out for a single land line, and for those purposes it works perfectly. My only criticism is the LED display: the letters and numbers are very small in an awkward font, and it's not very well lit (the hand set photo was taken using a 60 watt gooseneck lamp). There's no port to plug in a telephone headset, either, but that's not an issue for me since I'm only using it 4 hours a day, 1 or 2 days a week, with no more than 5 calls a day. If you need a call center caliber workhorse phone, I would steer clear of this one. P.S. The red light on the hand set is a battery indicator light.

I bought two of these, and could not get them to work on my [hone system. Phones were shipped to me. Walmart refused to take them back because of no receipt. Now I am stuck with two nonworking phones. Very unhappy.
