Bosch - 800 Series 36" Built-In Gas Cooktop with 5 burners and OptiSim - Stainless Steel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As part of a kitchen makeover we upgraded the cooktop, we couldn't be more pleased. The temperture range far exceeds our old unit and the grating sits flat all the time. Bosch has an elegant look enhancing the look of our new kitchen.

I don't know if this is normal. All the igniters stay on when using unit. I would think this will burn them out quickly. I am a licence plumbing contractor and have installed may gas stoves-cooktops and have never incountered this. Is this normal for this unit. This unit is in my home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased all bosch appliances when we built our new home. This cooktop has had issues with the center burner not igniting properly, we had a tech out to look at it and then back to replace some components but were told it's likely just going to work sometimes and others not. We filed a complaint with Bosch who said they were going to have someone look into it and file it with the appropriate people for warranty coverage, however it's been months and no update from Bosch, they clearly do not stand behind their products, even after they charge you around 1k for them. I also think it's unfortunate that Bosch does not have a safety mechanism to prevent the knobs from working like our GE gas cooktop had at our last home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this to replace a 30 year old unit. Had to make the opening about a half inch wider as this is 37" wide as opposed to the 36 in unit it replaced. I do like the black finish. Easy to clean as every piece can be removed. Would buy it again.
