KitchenAid® 2.0-Quart Kettle with Full Handle and Trim Band (KTEN20DBPR)

I purchased this teakettle in the color pyrite. It is beautiful, but handle broke only after seven months. I would only fill it 1/3 full and it still broke.

This tea kettle looks great and is very solid. I got the pyrite color which a very pretty shiny, dark gray. It's heavier than my last kettle so I'm still getting used to understanding when it's empty! It feels very well built, and the handle that stays cool and opens the spout is really great. The one thing that bothers me is the whistle--it is SO loud and shrill that it hurts my ears and makes my pets scramble out of the room whenever it goes off. It's much, much louder and higher-pitched than my last kettle, and the sound is really unsettling. Not sure if this is anything that can be modified, but it makes me feel like I need to stay nearby when I use it so I can catch it before the whistle fully goes off.

I've enjoyed using this product, the whistle is audible, it holds a good amount of water, etc. However, the screw that holds the handle near the spout has decided to come loose, which is a worrisome problem. Worse, it seems to refuse to go back in in order to fix it.

I received this mixer as a gift and LOVE it. I made numerous pastries during the holidays and loved the way the mixer made it so much easier. I like the way the bowl moves up and down and not that you have to lift the whole motor area.

I bought his about 2 months ago and used it to make Christmas cookies. It worked wonderful. The only down side was that with this model, it is difficult to pour needed ingredients into the kettle while it is mixing.
