Yard Man 21" 190cc Mulch/rear Bag/side Discharge

This MTD 21" mower is not a rugged mower. It's your typical plastic and metal construction, but it has some really good features; It has the three way discharge: side discharge, mulch, and rear bag. The rear bag feature is OK, but the bag fills up rather quickly. The best feature to this mower is its power. This is one little powerful mower. When I got the mower, I put it through its paces; high grass,, some weeds and wet grass. There was no bogging down at all. This is a great trim mower, being that it is a 21" mower. I think it would be just about the ideal mower if it was 22" and it had larger diameter wheels in the rear. The rear wheels are a bit larger in diameter than the front, but not functionally large enough to get around on rougher terrain. All in all, this is a great buy!

After read the review, I went to Wal-Mart and bought one last weekend. It was very easy to install and start. I was glad in the first 5 minutes when mowing my yard. The engine suddenly stopped. I cannot move the starter cord any more. If it was a old device, I could open the engine and might be able to fix it. But it just bought home for a couple of hours. So I returned it to the store. If you want to return any lawn mower to store, remember to clean up the gasoline! It is likely a quality control issue. So I was not lucky for picked up the bad one. My old lawn mower used the same Briggs & Stratton engine and had had good performance for 12 years.

I replaced a Toro (self-paced) mower with this mower and I am very happy. I will never buy a self-paced mower as it is a waste of money and a probable "break-down." Buy this mower for the price and quality. I had this mower up and running in a matter of minutes. Don't hesitate and don't waste your time or money at those large hardware stores.

Easy to assemble and cranked right up! Mows great.

One pull start. Light weight, and easy pusher. Pretty even cut front push, as well as back pull. Bags well. Mulcher works very well. Nice power through long, thick grass. I'm questioning why I waited so long to replace my old mower.
