Aquasana - Claryum 3-Stage 600 Gallon Under Sink Water Filter System with Dedicated Faucet - Oil Rubbed Bronze

We had the filter installed by a professional. The pressure was bad. The internet is full of advice on how to put a shim in this product to improve it. Perhaps just creating a good product could avoid all that.

This is the fourth Aquasana filter I have purchased and installed. I put one in every house I own, and recommend it to all my friends and family. It is easy to install, takes up very little space, and provides peace of mind regarding water purity for drinking and cooking. The faucet is attractive, too.

We have used Aquasana countertop filters for some time, so I am comfortable with the degree of filtration. Also, we are now spoiled by the taste, and don't want to go back to the (overall quite good) tap water. But the outflow was slow, and the attachment mechanism ugly and inconvenient (though we were used to it). The Claryum max flow system looks much nicer, as it connects to a dedicated faucet for drinking water. It also comes out quite fast, which adds to the convenience. We did not have much room under our sink, but I measured beforehand and it did (barely) fit. The installation instructions were ok, but Aquasana also has videos on youtube to help with installation that made it much more accessible. I'm not the most handy person, but I was able to install it without any issues. These filters are basically made of cheap plastic, so the quality isn't amazing (we've had two countertop units break). But it works well and isn't overly expensive, so we are comfortable with Aquasana products.

The water is crystal clear and the kit was easy to install, but the water comes out painfully slow from the included faucet, very slow flow. Our water pressure at home is fine and no issues with slow water from other sources. Our previous purification system (Similar to this one but different brand) didn't have this issue.

The two tubes that comes with the filter are soft and get disconnected once all connections are made. The installation was easy but it didn't work. Water leaked at the time of installation and again 2 days later resulting in flooding of the house and significant repairs (replacement of drywall on ceiling and walls of the basement). I had a plumber look at the tubing and he confirmed that the tubing after connections are made as instructed can be pulled out with force which is what turning on the water valve was doing and led to the flooding. Our plan is now to replace the tubing with PEX pipes and see if that would hold. Very disappointed overall!
