It's sufficient but the base pieces don't sit properly inside. It doesn't keep the umbrella straight. Maybe it's user error. It did not hold up to wind. I ended up putting 75 weights on it and put the umbrella in a corner to block the wind.

Perhaps a bit overpriced at $40 , but well made, handsome and very easy to put together. Fast free shipping made this ultimately a pretty good deal.

Good quality and long stem, but 10 ft umbrella fell over twice the first day. Maybe 25 lb would have been better

We've had the base for about month, really like the quality and seems to be holding up to the element (lots of rain lately). Great base for the price!

The price was right, so I ordered 4 of these to go with 4 umbrellas (also identical) - oddly, 3 of the umbrellas fit in the bases but the 4th base was sized differently and none of the umbrellas fit it without removing the spacer that holds the umbrellas in securely. As for looks and quality otherwise, they were ok - about what you'd expect for the price. In addition, these would not ship to my zip code but would ship to my friend's zip code 3 miles down the same road via UPS. Why they couldn't reach me, I have no idea but found it not only inconvenient but very odd.
