Brute 22" 3/n/1 Rwd Electric Start Mower

I was so proud of my $199.99 rear power mower. It worked great for 2 cuttings but then my balloon broke! It will not start at all now. $199.99 for 2 cuttings is not a good deal. I plan to get another one but not from Brute because this one went into the junk pile. I hate buying cheap.

Only had it for a year and I'm having all sorts of problems with it. It doesn't start, and the self-propel didn't seem nearly as strong as it should be after only a few uses.

Out of the box this lawnmower ran great. On the 3rd use it would not start. After using the trouble shooting guide I discovered the spark plug was black and had to be replaced. It had 2 logos on it, a Champion and a Briggs and Stratton. I removed the plug and took it to my local parts store, O'Rielly. They did not have a replacement, had never seen that type of spark plug and proceeded to cross reference it. The associate tried to cross reference on her computer, nothing matched. Then she tried to catalog reference, again no match. She called the warehouse, again no match. A customer got involved and found a Champion Spark plug on the self that was the same size. The process took over 1 hour, for a spark plug!. I brought it home and installed it. The mower is running great again. I checked on line and of course Walmart carries the plug online. But the original spark plug looks cheep and did not last. With tax and store pick up this mower cost almost $400.00. That is allot of money for me and with their reputation I would expect that Briggs and Stratton would use good quality parts for their produces. The hose connection for the cleanout is placed in an awkward position and makes it difficult to connect the hose. The gas treatment product that came with the mower is in a small container that attaches to the inside of the gas cap. It was empty in 2 mowings although it states it last 6 months. Again this product can be purchased online through Walmart complete with a new gas cap for around $14.00 plus tax and shipping. You can purchase the same prduct in a bottle for much less that will last allot longer.

Easy to set up and use. Gives a good look to the lawn.
