I love that I can just put room temperature ingredients into my ice cream maker and within an hour have homemade ices or ice cream. The best I've made with sweetened condensed milk.
Very robust well made machine. Basic features but easy to operate & easy to clean. So far have made vanilla, mint choc chip, rhubarb & custard, vegan strawberry ripple, flavoured ice creams and 1 lemon sorbet.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago. I've made three different types of frozen desserts with it. It is absolutely phenomenal very quick and easy to use, Excellent quality and best of all no pre-freezing bowls! Big fan of the Cuisinart products I own haven't been let down yet and I'm a retired professional chef!
This is a great alternative to an ice cream maker that requires the ingredients and canister be frozen. It's much more quiet than I anticipated, which was a very nice surprise. The machine is substantial, making it feel very sturdy. I'm looking forward to all the recipes I'll be able to make at home now that I have this!
As a cookbook author and food writer I expect and need the highest standards from my kitchen equipment. I was replacing an old ice cream maker which had lasted an unbelievable 30 years. I bought 2 Cuisinart ice cream makers, one for England, one in Ireland. My old machine allowed the pail to get very cold within 5 minutes of placing it in the base and you could then pour even a hot custard mix into it. This one you have to wait hours for the mix to cool in the fridge or overnight. The mixture although poured in at the suggested level rose up and over the top of the lid and into the base and is very difficult to clean properly, not well designed. The ice cream didn't set to even soft set in 60 minutes and I have now tried it 5 times, it still needs to go into a freezer. It is also very noisy. The ice cream paddle is a highly complicated shape and impossible to scrape the finished ice cream through and off without getting one's hands covered in ice cream.
