Frigidaire FRA093PT1 - Air conditioner - mobile - white/gray

We just installed this unit on 7-4-15 and are quite happy with the cooling but have a problem with the noise. There was a loose screw in the bottom of the box when we removed the packing material. The fan runs quietly, but when the cooling turn on something is vibrating very load (probably needs the screw) but I can't find a repair place to check it out or fix it for me. The noise is so loud we can't hear the TV without turning up the sound when the cooling cycle comes on.

Nightmare! The unit did not cool. I had to go through the task of returning such a large item! The only saving grace is Walmart was decent about the return...

I bought this since my central air conditioner would not kick off on its own during the day this summer. Inside was 98 degrees while outside was 107. I was hoping this would cool off the trailer we rent. The first problem is the window piece says you can cut it to fit a window but for the life of me I can't figure out HOW to do this without the hard plastic it is made of cracking and splitting and ending up as trash. Calling Frigidaire was NO HELP whatsoever. They just referred me to contact a local a/c company for advice on this. So we have the vent in the window poking through a cardboard hole and a towel to block the summer heat from coming in. It is also a 9000 BTU unit and I erroneousily thought it would BLAST cool air in the room we have it set up in but no it is a WEAK blower. While it says it is portable, the window fixture part, if you can figure out how to use it is NOT portable. So you either have to come up with another solution for other room windows or you have to buy more of this part for those additional windows. Finally, I'm not sure how it affected my electric bill has I have not received it yet. All in all, it was NOT worth the nearly $500 I spent.

I wish i could return it and get a window unit. You can't even watch TV, it is so loud.
