Overall, I do like the product, but I'm not ecstatic about it. The value to functionality is pretty good, however there are some minor drawbacks to the unit. First, if you have it set to cool all the time, you're forced to empty the water tank every 3 hours or so; unless a drain is setup for it (this last would be ideal, but unfeasible in my situation). Second, on the auto cool function, it will only cool down to 74 degrees, then switch off and start up the fan. This is regardless of how cold you set the machine to (minimum is 62 degrees F). I've been able to get it colder than 74 degrees by just having the a/c run continuously, and emptying every 3 hours. So, it CAN cool below 74 degrees, just means you have to work with the product to get it there. That said, it's a nice little unit, if a bit bulky. It allows for a small amount of directional variation to the airflow, and has a simple fan function if it's not warm enough to need the a/c, but cool enough to just use a fan. The air output is quite nice in that regard. Remember, this unit MUST be vented to the outside, otherwise it's of no use to you. This is why there is an exhaust hose and plastic plates to board up the window you are using to vent the hot air the unit creates when the a/c is functioning.

I was very happy with my portable air conditioner unit. It was easy to set up and cools a room beautifully. Its nice because you can take it from room to room as needed. It also doesn't make a room too cold but just very comfortable.

we purchased it bcoz we live in apartment n they dont allow to fit n xtra window AC.So portable AC was the only option for r bedroom. this is a very good product if :- *u want to spend less then 300 $. *ur room size is between 100-160sq ft. *u dont want to drain water continuously from the A.C as u have no connection between the drainage area and the room where ac is located. *n u can tolerate the noise bit more than the window AC i must say its a value for money product.it make the room chilling cool in 30-45 min and comfortable cool in 10-15min. if u use the AC for only night and for few hrs in noon then u can collect the waste water from the AC in 2 days.Tatz wat i do.i dont know the upper limit.The water quantity is 3 disposable medium size bowls.tatz it.no use of water pipe .The fitting of air pipe is very simple it can fit horizontally or vertically.u need not to b a mechanical engineer as what i m, to fit the air vent of AC. CAUTION:- while fitting and operating the AC follow the manual word to word .this will make every thing piece of cake.plz don't skip a single information. looks are good,price is rite n product quality is best.one can go for this AC n save few bucks to purchase xtra lot of cookies then to go for "7,000 BTU Commercial Cool by Haier Portable Air Conditioner, Black" which is also under 300$ and having half star more than this product.

I brought this unit for my basement and it is excellent!!!

The room I put this unit into has the turn style windows. Had to put some wood, that I cut to fit, works great though. Ready to order another one for a room upstairs. When put in the right way for 1 room works well.
