i have a room about 100sq feet, i use haier 5000btu air conditioner ,about 15-20 mins make my room's temp, down to 7 degree. pretty quiet running, won't hear crazy noise sound.
Bought this unit as a replacement for a 12 year old one. Since we are using it to cool a very small room (9 X 10) I thought the design of the air vents on the top amd not blowing straight out was nice. However, this design causes the unit to extend about 6-8 inches into the room. In a room this size it makes it seem very intrusive. No other dissapointments. It runs quiet and cools the room well. I think I'll find another with a standard design and save this one for emergencies.
The worst $125 I've spent on anything! Enough Said! Very loud noise, doesnt even cool one room. I would not buy this product.
