I like the way it is designed and will be a huge improvement on what I had before. Also the instruction book is quick and easy to go over so it will be no problem to use. I have not had a chance to use it yet since I've only had it less than one day but I will probably tomorrow. I am very confident I will be very happy with it. The other grill I had made a huge mess on the counter even after I put it in a large metal pan. This one has an easy to see and empty drain pan and is designed to drain only in it and not all over the counter top.
I wish the plates came out for cleaning but not hard to clean. Suggest using under exhaust fan in kitchen as it do a smoke when searing. Love the sear feature. Much better than old Foreman grill. No offense George
Very good product, the only thing that I did not like is that you must sit something under it to prevent counter tops from burning.
AFTER MANY YEARS OF GREAT RESULTS OUR GEORGE FOREMAN GRILL FINALLY GAVE UP THE GHOST. WE LOOKED AT OTHER GRILLS AND FINALLY DECIDED ON THE HAMILTON BEACH. GOOD CHOICE! IT WORKS AS WELL AND HAS THE ADDED BONUS OF THE "SEAR" FEATURE. WE HAVE USED IT FOR STEAKS AND FOR GRILLED SANDWICHES WITH EXCELLENT RESULTS. THOUGHT WE WOULD MISS THE TIMER ON THE GEORGE FOREMAN GRILL, BUT ACTUALLY,THE TEMPERATURE SETTING IS MORE VALUABLE (WE USE THE TIMER ON THE MICROWAVE).
Great for two people who like huge burgers or can make 4 normal ones and they taste like outside if you use the sear feature.
