I've been a loyal KitchenAid customer for years. My kitchen is practically a KitchenAid showroom—I own two stand mixers and all my major appliances bear the KitchenAid name. But I'm writing this review out of frustration and disappointment with the 36'' Smart Commercial-Style Dual Fuel Range. I purchased this range three years ago, expecting top-tier performance and reliability given the significant cost. Unfortunately, it has been anything but. Since day one, I've dealt with issues that no premium appliance should have. The oven struggles with consistent and even heating, leading to frustrating hot spots that ruin baked goods. As for the burners, two have already stopped working entirely, leaving me to rely on my wall oven as my go-to for cooking. Adding insult to injury, the Wi-Fi feature has *never* worked, despite multiple attempts to troubleshoot. The range top adds to the frustration. The cast iron grates are not only difficult to clean but have also started to crack over time. Shockingly, there seem to be no replacement options available, and KitchenAid has provided no clear guidance on how to properly clean or maintain the grates and ceramic base. For an appliance marketed as “commercial-style,” this lack of durability and support is unacceptable. When you invest in a high-end product, you expect durability, precision, and longevity. This range has failed on all counts, and I feel let down by a brand I once trusted wholeheartedly. I understand that nothing lasts forever, but for the cost of this range, I should not be experiencing this level of deterioration and malfunction after just three years. KitchenAid, I urge you to take a closer look at the quality of this product and the lasting impact it has on customer trust. As a long-time advocate for your brand, it's incredibly disheartening to write this review, but I hope it sparks the attention needed to address these issues and restore confidence in your products. Please take this feedback seriously and work to resolve these problems for customers who deserve better.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything we were hoping for and more!! This range and oven does it all, provides us the space and functionality to have several dishes going at the same time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love the gas cooktop and the appliance looks great! Definitely not sold on the fan oven , it is noisy anytime it is on. It's a shame for such a lovely range/oven to be sort of embarrassing in our large open plan kitchen/dining/living room space !
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The propane cooktop has excellent controls for its variety of burners. It is easy to clean with a soft cloth or sponge. The oven shelves are easy to remove and reposition. The oven controls took awhile to learn, and the chime and light on the main knob seem to react to motion nearby (gremlins?), but the directions are easy to implement even without wi-fi.
I had this dual fuel range installed a little over 1 month ago. The unit itself works fine but the cooking grates look horrible. Just using my pots and pans on the grates takes the coating off. I'm not proud of my new range. The grates need a better coating that will last.
