I love how simple and easy this coffee maker is. It includes a gold tone filter to use in place of disposable coffee filters. The water tank is easy to fill and the coffee maker is pleasing to the eye. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I have purchased many KitchenAid products, and have been very happy with all of them, but then I purchased this one. BIGGEST.MISTAKE.EVER. This is the worst coffee maker I have ever owned. (I am 60 so I have owned a few!) I have spent less on other units and they have lasted for years. This one, less than 3 months and it wasn't just forking over 20-25$ for a cheap coffee maker! First: unless the carafe is in just the right spot, and I mean right spot, the water overflows out of the filter basket and goes everywhere, which also means coffee grounds in the coffee for what does flow into the carafe. Second: It constantly stops in the middle of a brewing cycle, so I have to shut the machine off for about a minute or so, and push the brew cycle again. Usually then, it will finish out the cycle, but it is kind of frustrating to be doing something, come back to get a cup of coffee and find out that the brew cycle shut off.

Owned this coffee maker for a few months. It shoots coffee out and runs all over the counter. The spring on the unit doesn't press in enough to release enough coffee to prevent it from going all over. Coffee grounds end up in my coffee frequently. i have to hold the carafe up so it will drain.

We have had this for about a year. The led has been fading but kept using it. Today it would not brew. Came home to try and run a clean cycle and it wont even do that. unplugged to reset and nothing works. Very disappointed as this is not a cheap coffee maker

The coffeemaker has a nice design but TERRIBLE FUNCTIONALITY. The programmable feature NEVER worked despite my following the instructions that were included with the product. I tried to research online (even researched on YouTube) but could not find instructions and finally gave up. The removable reservoir leaks. And the carafe chipped shortly after I purchased the coffeemaker. Wished I would have read the reviews first - many negative reviews. Very disappointed in KitchenAid. This poorly designed coffeemaker is a black eye on a company known for exceptional quality.
