Monster - Power Shield XL 4 Outlet 2 USB-A 540 Joules Surge Protector - Black

The Monster Power Shield XL is an unexpectedly useful piece of equipment. It is a fancy surge protector that comes with a bunch of features that make it very useful. Let's start with the 90 degree wall plug. This was a great design choice that allowed me to plug it in behind a couch and then push the couch up against it. It barely takes up any space! It has six feet of cord which gave me a lot of flexibility on where I wanted to put it. It comes with a magnetic plate that you can attach to a wall and then attach the power unit to it. This would be handy for getting the plugs off the ground. I did not use it because I didn't want to draw extra attention to my cords. The unit has four plugs and best of all two USB plugs. The USB plug can supply up to 3.4 amps which was plenty for charging our phones and tablets. It is way faster than the small usb wall bricks that we were using before. Overall, the build quality is great and I would absolutely recommend this to someone who wants some extra flexibility with placing their cords.

This power shield has a great 6 foot cord to reach anywhere I need it too. I love how it charges super fast and don't need to search for a block the cord plugs directly into the power shield. You can have multiple devices and such charging from just this 1 plug.

This is so much better than a standard extension cord or plug. Most cords are super long or just hang unorganized and in the way. You can tell the quality of this outlet extender when you feel it out of the box. It doesn't feel like ordinary cheap plastic. What I love about this extender is the magnetic "sticker" that you can attach anywhere that allows you to easily attach the plug itself to it. You can easily attach it to a wall, tool box, work bench, etc. I used mine on a wooden work bench and it holds great! It has 4 grounded wall plugs and 2 USB ports all on one plug. This has added so much space to my work area without all the loose cords laying around. Love it!

I didn't know they made this and was really excited to see it. No special tools needed and it's so easy to set up! That outlet behind most couches that is unusable is now the best outlet in the house! Phone usb cord plugs right into it so no charger box needed. I can plug in my laptop in an easy to reach spot, it's so convenient . I absolutely love this!
