I bought this item looking at entertianment as well as the weight reguirement for fun for the whole family. When I bought it the add said it would hold up to 200 pounds. When it arrived it can only hold a little over 100 pounds. I was very disappointed and mislead. I would not recommend buying this item.
My grandson has really enjoyed this Christmas present. The inflated jet ski is really cool. It looks good and is just the right size for him. He likes to sit way back and bend forward as he races the courses. There are several game choices including one similar to Mario Cart. He will play for it for a couple hours straight each day. His siblings, parents, and other grown relatives all wanted to play, too. (Of course, the big people were willing to not put their full weight on it.) It's easy to store if you have some closet space. We used an air pump that we use for camping--it is faster.
It took me a while to figure out the connections as I couldn't get the programs to start moving, but it was my connections, not the game. The instructions could have been more detailed. Blowing up took a while, but that was my kids' project. I have an electric air pump (which no household with kids should be without, so the blow-up time was minimal). Once connected and inflated, it totally met expectations. I'm just sorry it doesn't support more weight so that I can play it!
Overall I liked this toy. The only problem is pumping it up, its very time consuming and takes at least an 1/2 hr, and you also have to keep it pumped up which is time consuming as well. But my son stayed up for hours playing it. But he's only played with it for 2 days since we had it cause it's so time consuming to pump it up. We had it for about a month. So it has it's pros and cons.
After reading most of the reviews I went ahead and got this for my son's birthday....he was super excited when he saw what it was. The worst part of it, of course, is blowing it up. The foot pump they give you, is hilarious! The hose didn't fit properly and made this awful squeaking sound every time the air went through....and only one nozzle would fit. So, I used my hair dryer and it was filled in no time! But, then the air expels very quickly when you use the hair dryer and it's not completely full of air once you get it shut. He's still able to sit on it, but it will have to be filled again soon. Another thing is the screw in the dash where you have to put the batteries...it was stripped in a couple of seconds and it took me almost 10 minutes to get the cover off because if this! And the last thing...there were no patches for an "oops" moment...most inflatable toys have at least one patch provided. Those were the only minor things...other than that he has really enjoyed this product!
