I received the new air nugget ice machine in April 27 th 2021. Beware there is a manufacturer recall! I have to return it! I was told by new air that they do not know when all of the shipment ice makers will be fixed. Do not order this specific item.
I recently bought this thinking it would be the equivalent of a more recognized brand, but after plugging it in and filling with water, the machine will just cycle water without stopping for about 5 minutes. After that it kicks off and the ice full light comes on. Never makes ice. Maybe wait and buy the next model.
Sorry to write such a review, but feel customer should know the exception. Biggest down fall is that it doesn't recycle the water when ice melts. Have to manual restart unit to make ice again. I'm being totally honest, cause I have purchased both units. Hands down Opal/GE knocks nugget ice making out of the park by far. NEWAIR please take your product back into production and make it better.
The ice maker is easy to use and makes the ice quickly. The size of the ice is very similar to the ice used at Chick-fil-la. Had an issue with issue the ice maker called their customer service and they quickly resolved our issue. Thank you Elizabeth for your assistance. I would highly recommend this ice maker.
Love Drive Thru Slushies??? Love that Sonic nugget Ice??? I do too! In fact we would buy 10# bags of it! But it wasn't cost effective. I started to research a personal nugget Ice maker. 3000.00????? Nope, not me. Then we found NewAir!!!! Best nugget ice maker for the money. Machine pumps out ice by the (provided) bucket loads. We freeze nugget ice in gallon size freezer bags. You really can make 40 lbs of ice in a day!!! Ice breaks free and does not clump into unusable iceberg chunks! 5 out of 5 stars!!!
